Love Island’s Shaughna Phillips calls for an ambulance and says ‘I might die’ as she starts New Year health kick

LOVE Island star Shaughna Phillips' new fitness regime got off to a mixed start - as she was left gasping: "Oh my god, I need an ambulance."

It comes after the villa favourite said she would be enjoying an Indian takeaway on New Year's Eve - before going on a jog the following morning.

She said her goals for 2024 involved getting her house built and "losing this baby weight".

However determined Shaughna, who is mum to eight-month-old daughter Lucia, told fans it had been a tricky start.

She posted: "Trying to start the new year right - I may die." The star also shared a video of her adding: "Oh my god, I need an ambulance."

It came after Shaughna, who appeared on the Winter version of Love Island in 2020, shared a reflective look back on the year with her followers.

The 29-year-old said: "Let's use tomorrow as a reset button, we're nearly through it.

"Sometimes things happen that you never could have imagined, let alone imagine getting through it, but we just do.

"We're stronger than even the hardest days."

Earlier this year Shaughna revealed she has put on five stone – but has already managed to lose a stone of it after welcoming her daughter in April.

Speaking about her body on her podcast Oh Baby! she said: "One thing that I definitely struggle with? I don't look like myself.

"I can't dress the way I want to dress because my body's not the way it used to be.

“You not only have this new body that you're trying to navigate but you have no time for yourself to try and get into a better physical or healthier state.

"I'm really trying now, but I have the added pressure of having to do that in the public eye.

“And just this morning I had people going, I think you really need to lose the weight now.”

She went on: "I can't tell you how much they do not bother me. I don't care.

"I've had real s*** in my life that people on Instagram telling me I need to lose weight or going, do you know that you've gained weight? Have I?

“You're telling me I've gained five stone and I haven't realised. Of course I've bloody realised, OK? But it's trying to be present in the moment."
