Premier League Darts LIVE SCORES: Luke Littler vs Aspinall in Night 5 final on NOW, Cross and Humphries hit NINE-DARTERS

  • Luke Littler 0-0 Nathan Aspinall

Nathan Aspinall to throw first in the final - GAME ON!

  • Unhappy

Bit of head-shaking on stage as the players and referee pick some debris up off the stage.

Seem to be suggesting that something has been thrown before they got up but it didn't look anything too big.

And we're ready for a start.

  • Here they come

Mr Brightside is back on again. Maybe not quite the appetite for it now as there was first time around.

But it goes a cappella once again when the music drops and it sounds much better that way!

Littler follows, only after signing a shirt for a kid who couldn't have been much older than eight.

Saying that, Littler was pinning 9-darters at that age. It really is inclusive!

  • Late one tonight

Still no sign of the two finalists and we're getting on a wee bit here to be done before the 11pm end time.

Having said that, this game could last eight minutes or half an hour.

  • Firm favourite

It looks like being another trophy for the Littler cabinet, if the bookies are to be believed.

    • Littler 1/5
    • Aspinall 7/2
  • This sport

You wait all these weeks for a 9-darter and two come along in one night.

Not just that, they both end up LOSING their matches in the end anyway!

Even more incredibly, Cross had to stand and watch Humphries hit a 9-darter against him before going on to win, only to do one himself an hour or so later and get knocked out too.

It just continues to throw up incredible stories.

  • What a match - Nathan Aspinall dumps out 9-dart hero Rob Cross!

    Rob Cross 5-6 Nathan Aspinall

Cross hits a 180 to leave 48 and put the pressure right on Aspinall who'd left 70.

And only one dart at a double will come his way but he finds the D16 superbly!

Sublime darts from both players but it's The Asp taking on The Nuke in the Brighton final!

  • Rob Cross 5-5 Nathan Aspinall

Never mind, single 20 on dart four.

But he has the ascendency early doors in this one.

  • Rob Cross 5-5 Nathan Aspinall

Ohhh, Aspinall starts with a 180. Will he...?

  • Rob Cross 5-5 Nathan Aspinall

    We're headed for a decider!

This match deserves it too. Incredible from both players and Cross takes out 116 on D18 to finish to get us there.

Aspinall has the darts, will that prove crucial?

  • Rob Cross 4-5 Nathan Aspinall

Huge from Aspinall - a massive hold of throw puts him within one of victory.

A terrific Shanghai finish on 20s to take out 120 when he needed it most showed incredible steel.

He needs to win one of the next two.

  • Rob Cross 4-4 Nathan Aspinall

Effectively best of three with Nathan Aspinall having the darts in two of those.

Cross needs at least one break...

  • Rob Cross 4-4 Nathan Aspinall

"Come onnnn!" That's the cry of Nathan Aspinall who breaks throw!

Cross starts with four perfect darts again and pull clear of Aspinall who stops mid-visit to have a stare-off with someone in the crowd.

Something has happened which has put him off and then one or two whistles come.

He does well to leave 67 but Cross gets first go at 72, though the double 16 attempt evades him.

Aspinall comes back for 67 and gets one go at D16 himself which misses on the single. But when Cross makes a mess of finishing in the next visit Aspinall pins D4 with his last dart to level it up!

  • Rob Cross 4-3 Nathan Aspinall

Just as Humphries did earlier, Cross' throw has gone to pot after hitting the nine-darter and is left on 210 when Aspinall hits D16 to hold throw.

This is all a bit silly at the minute but Cross still has a break and throws first in the next leg.

  • Rob Cross 4-2 Nathan Aspinall

    An outrageous night.

No words and hardly a celebration from Cross who is playing out of his skin. Aspinall looks more pleased than he does.

    Going T19, T16 to leave D18 too.

    Just, wow.

  • Oh my worddddd!!! ROB CROSS HITS A 9-DARTER!!!

The second nine-darter of the night.

He's been on the end of one nine-darter and hit one of his own!

  • Rob Cross 3-2 Nathan Aspinall

Three legs on the spin and Cross is playing sensationally well all of a sudden.

Aspinall leaves 80 from 220 to pressure the Cross attempt at 52 but a two-dart combo seals it.

  • Rob Cross 2-2 Nathan Aspinall

Great stuff from Cross who has found his stride again after a great quarter final.

Just like then, he's came back from 2-0 down to level things with another emphatic leg.

And his average has climbed to 110 after a two-dart checkout on 94!

  • Rob Cross 1-2 Nathan Aspinall

All one-way that leg and Cross breaks Aspinall to get the semi back on throw.

Aspinall's scoring deserts him and even after finding a T20 in his last visit, he is still at 155 with Cross leaving 32.

And he needs just one dart at D16 to pin it.

  • Rob Cross 0-2 Nathan Aspinall

Terrific from the Asp who breaks throw to double his lead!

It's nip and tuck throughout but he just edges ahead to leave 100 before Cross pressures it by leaving 80.

Cross must fancy he'll get a look at it when Aspinall hits T1 with his first dart but he adjusts incredibly to hit T19, D20 and move two up.

  • Rob Cross 0-1 Nathan Aspinall

    What a hold from Aspinall!

Aspinall opens with two T20s and looks like he'll pick up where he left off earlier.

But after six darts he finds himself 120 behind Cross who storms well ahead.

Then Cross misses three at D8 which sees Aspinall return for 160 and he wires the D20 for a remarkable hold.

Cross comes back for 16 and misses D8 twice and then misses the D4.

Aspinall comes back to clean up with two darts.

  • Rob Cross 0-0 Nathan Aspinall

Nathan Aspinall to throw first in this one. Game on!

  • Terrific stuff

No nonsense from Nathan Aspinall who marches up to the stage, he's determined to get going.

The music cuts off early but the crowd aren't having it and continue singing a cappella. So well that MC John McDonald let them finish before bringing Rob Cross on!

  • But who will he play?

It'll be either Rob Cross or Nathan Aspinall.

Both producing terrific displays to come through different types of matches in the quarters.

But both firmly eyeing a date with The Nuke in an hour or so!

  • Luke Littler cruises by Michael van Gerwen

Michael van Gerwen 2-6 Luke Littler

Men against boys out there, with the boy beating the man!

Sizzling from Littler, finishing with a leg win against the darts and another two-dart finish on 84 to seal it.

He'll be a strong favourite to win tonight's event now.
