Midsomer Murders series 24 spoilers revealed by ITV – just days after finale
MIDSOMER Murders has teased British fans on what to expect when the hit crime series makes a return for its 24th series.
The long-running show recently wrapped up its 23rd edition on ITV and fans are already on the edge of their seats waiting for the brand new series.
Whilst series 24 has already aired across the globe, having initially been released in December of last year, fans in the UK have still been unable to tune in after ITV fell two series behind.
In a promising update, new spoilers have been shared to get British fans ready for the new series when it eventually does come to air where they can catch-up on what Barnaby and Winter have been up to.
Four episodes will form the series in total and there looks set to be more twists and turns than ever before.
The new series will kick off with an episode entitled The Devil's Work.

A teaser reads: "The demise of the Shirewell patriarch sparks a vicious inheritance dispute when eldest son Lucian announces plans to break up an estate that's been in his family for centuries."
The second episode is called Book Of The Dead and will centre on the tragic tale of an author.
A nationwide hunt for the murderer of the author forced Barnaby and Winter to "find the killer among a group of dedicated seekers".
Episode three's Claws Out will take viewers on a rather different path as it focuses on an animal investigation after the death of a pet detective.
Fans can expect: "After a pet detective turns up dead inside the kennel of a dog he was searching for, Barnaby and Winter are drawn into the world of dognapping, cat seduction, and animal investigation."
Whilst the series' final episode will wrap things up with not just one murder - but several.
A Texan oil tycoon will take over Midsomer's "greenest village" but a string of grisly and gruesome murders soon ensure.
Fans will see how far the village are willing to go to put a stop to it once and for all.
Although fans will be pleased to hear news of the 24th series - many of them have already been left rattled at the delays in making it to air in the UK.
Taking to social media, one said: "It's a UK show made for a UK audience (and on UK television for many years) but the station airing don't care less about UK fans. Two years or more we've waited for this episode while every other country has seen it."
A second fumed: "It's ridiculous, there are 5 more episodes not screened yet in the UK of Midsomer Murders and ITV are showing another bloody repeat tonight @ITV @ITVX sort it out."

Midsomer Murders was adapted by Douglas Watkinson from the Chief Inspector Barnaby book series by Caroline Graham.
John Nettles famously played Detective Chief Inspector Tom Barnaby until his retirement in 2011, with Neil Dudgeon coming in the same year as DCI John Barnaby, Tom's younger cousin.

- The Beast Must Die: This series follows a mother's grief for her son, who was killed in an accident. Nicholas Blake's novel of the same name has been adapted for the programme. Stars include Cush Jumbo, Jared Harris, Billy Howle and Geraldine James.
- Red Eye: Starring Richard Armitage, Jing Lusi and Lesley Sharp star in this six-part thriller, which mostly takes place during an all-night flight between London and Beijing. With dead bodies piling up and a mystery to unravel, the heroes must work fast to get to the truth.
- The Twelve: This Australian drama originally aired as a miniseries in 2022, with the episodes dropping in the UK in February 2023. Four months later, the show was renewed for a second season. Jurassic Park star Sam Neill stars in the leading role of barrister Brett Colby.
- Manhunt: Martin Clunes stars in this drama based on true murder investigations. Series one focused on the death of Amélie Delagrange, which took place in 2004, while the second depicted the search for serial rapist Delroy Grant.
