Darts results LIVE: Nordic Masters up next after Luke Littler crashed out in US semi-final – latest updates

  • Poland Darts Masters history

The World Series of Darts will return to Poland in 2024 with eight of the sport’s biggest stars.

World No1 Luke Humphries will be in action as will Premier League champion and teenage sensation Luke Littler.

Reigning Poland Darts Masters king, Michael van Gerwen is set to compete after a stunning performance in Warsaw last year.

MVG thrashed Dimitri Van den Bergh 8-3 in the 2023 final to claim the £20,000 jackpot.

Gerwyn Price was among the PDC representatives invited to this year’s Poland Darts Masters, but the Welshman has withdrawn from the event and will be replaced by World No16 Stephen Bunting.

  • When is the Poland Darts Masters?

    • The Poland Darts Masters will begin on Friday, June 14.
    • The tournament will run until Saturday, June 15.
    • PreZero Arena Gliwice will host.
  • Littler enjoys New York

Luke Littler was eliminated at the semi-final stage at the US Darts Masters in New York.

But he has still had a brilliant time on the East Coast as he now prepares to fly to Orlando with his family.

And it appears the trip to WWE HQ was a highlight of his New York stay.

  • Saudi Price is right

Former world champion Gerwen Price has taken aim at “drunken hooligans” ruining darts events in a stunning backing of a proposal for the PDC to be held in Saudi Arabia.

He said: “Maybe it’s the way forward, less drunken hooligans that aren’t fans, causing fights, that turn up once in a blue moon and spoil the outcome of the game in what’s the most important event of the year for the players.

“If you want that atmosphere there’s four months of it with the Premier League.

“People can still enjoy themselves without alcohol.”

  • Record breakers

The crowds were out in force for the world’s best darts players in the US.

Across the two days, 7,500 punters turned up to watch Luke Littler and Co.

That is a record for the US Darts Open.

  • Littler thankful for the support

Luke Littler was supported by the US crowd at the Masters.

Sadly, he could only make the semis - but he took home a lot from it.

He shared his feelings on X.

  • Cross played with a broken foot

ROB CROSS conquered the Big Apple with a broken TOE and after pigging out on the city’s finest fast food.

Voltage, 33, was the best Englishman in New York as he beat Welshman Gerwyn Price 8-7 in the final of the US Darts Masters.

In the build-up to this World Series of Darts invitational, the Hastings target man tried to shed some weight with a quick gym session.

Yet it all went wrong as he ended up injuring himself in the process – and he will now be sidelined from any form of cardio for the foreseeable future.

Cross laughed: “I went to the gym once. I made ten minutes and broke my toe.

“So, that’s off the radar at the moment. The gym ain’t made for me. Not at the minute. It has not been easy on my foot.”

  • Littler buys console with earnings

LUKE LITTLER spent some of his £315,000 Premier League winnings on a new £250 computer console.

Asked how he has splashed the Prem cash following his outstanding victory at the O2 Arena, Littler replied: “None of them went to Fifa points.

“But I did buy a Nintendo Switch, which I have brought away with me to have a bit of fun.

“Usually we are sat in the hotel rooms waiting for the next day to play.

“We did some sight-seeing this week. I came back, chilled out and played on the Switch.”

  • Record-breaking evening

Last night's action from Madison Square Garden broke a US Darts Masters record.

3,600 fans watched the action from inside the iconic venue, which is more supporters than ever before in the event's six year history.

  • Cross pockets huge cheque

Rob Cross' victory sees him take home £20,000.

Gerywn Price throwing away his lead in the final cost him glory and £10,000.

    Semi-finalists got £5,000, quarter-finalists £2,500 and first round losers still get a nice £1,250.

  • Pays the Price

Gerwyn Price sung the praises of Rob Cross but was left to rue blowing his commanding lead in the final after already beating Luke Littler.

The gutted Iceman said: "I’m just struggling to get over the winning line.

“I just want to get a win under my belt and get my confidence back, but fair play to Rob, he dug deep at the end.

“As much as I want to win, I’ve really enjoyed this weekend and I feel like a win is just around the corner for me.”

  • Unbelieva-bull

Rob Cross believed he was beaten at 5-2 down in the final - only to come back and win 8-7.

Voltage said after picking up the trophy: “This means a lot to me.

“I felt a little bit spent at the end and I thought Gezzy had me beaten, but I’m really glad to get over the line.

“Gezzy is probably my best mate on tour. He’s one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met, but for me to win any title with the likes of Luke Littler around, you’ve got to embrace it.

“I’m working really hard and I feel better than ever. I think I was a little bit fortunate tonight, but I’ve loved this weekend, it’s been absolutely amazing.”

It is Cross' fourth World Series of Darts title.

  • Rob leaves Gerwyn feeling Cross

It will go down as another 'what could have been' for Gerwyn Price.

US Darts Masters final was dominated by the Welshman but he just could not put his opponent to the sword.

  • Nerves get to Price on big stage

'The Iceman' just cannot seem to get over the line at the moment.

He allowed Rob Cross to get back into this match and 'Voltage' took his chance to win the US Darts Masters.

Cross did not seem happy with his performance but victory and the trophy should take the sting out of it somewhat.

  • 'Voltage' finds that spark in final

Rob Cross kept battling away and stayed within touching distance of good friend Gerwyn Price.

As his opponent missed big chances, Cross kept on taking his.

After a disappointing Premier League season, this could give Rob Cross the springboard to go on and win more tournaments.

  • Price is not right for Gerwyn

This defeat will hurt Gerwyn Price.

He had so many chances to win this match but missed doubles and had poor visits to the oche and will no doubt dwell on it.

After beating Luke Littler in the semi-final, this was a huge opportunity to win a major trophy.

    Close but no cigar.

  • Rob Cross beats Gerwyn Price 8-7

  • Rob Cross 8-7 Gerwyn Price*

Rob Cross wins a match he never led in.

Gerwyn Price passed up numerous chances to win this match and crumbled when it mattered.

'Voltage' just would not go away and made his opponent pay for some inconsistent darts.

  • Rob Cross* 7-7 Gerwyn Price

It has all come down to the final leg of this final.

Gerwyn Price has really passed up so many chances to win this match.

You wonder whether Rob Cross is going to grab victory from the jaws of defeat now.

  • Rob Cross 6-7 Gerwyn Price*

Price opens up a lead once again as he hits double top.

The Welshman is only one leg away from winning the tournament.

You could cut the tension with a knife in Maddison Square Garden.

  • Rob Cross* 6-6 Gerwyn Price

Cross will feel he has kept himself in a game he should have been out of.

Price has missed chances to put this match to bed and missed them.

'Voltage' draws level and will fancy his chances now.

  • Rob Cross 5-6 Gerwyn Price*

Rob Cross will just not go away in this match.

Gerwyn Price has some poor visits and offers the chance for 'Voltage' to break straight back.

'The Iceman' melts as he misses double 8 and Cross hits double 16 to move within one leg of him again.
