The World Series of Darts will return to Poland in 2024 with eight of the sport’s biggest stars.
World No1 Luke Humphries will be in action as will Premier League champion and teenage sensation Luke Littler.
Reigning Poland Darts Masters king, Michael van Gerwen is set to compete after a stunning performance in Warsaw last year.
MVG thrashed Dimitri Van den Bergh 8-3 in the 2023 final to claim the £20,000 jackpot.
Gerwyn Price was among the PDC representatives invited to this year’s Poland Darts Masters, but the Welshman has withdrawn from the event and will be replaced by World No16 Stephen Bunting.
Luke Littler was eliminated at the semi-final stage at the US Darts Masters in New York.
But he has still had a brilliant time on the East Coast as he now prepares to fly to Orlando with his family.
And it appears the trip to WWE HQ was a highlight of his New York stay.
My walk on music is all thanks to wrestlemania 33 so there was one place I wanted to go while I was out here…🤩 thanks for having us @WWE!🙏🏻 pic.twitter.com/WS1n7wN9o0
Former world champion Gerwen Price has taken aim at “drunken hooligans” ruining darts events in a stunning backing of a proposal for the PDC to be held in Saudi Arabia.
He said: “Maybe it’s the way forward, less drunken hooligans that aren’t fans, causing fights, that turn up once in a blue moon and spoil the outcome of the game in what’s the most important event of the year for the players.
“If you want that atmosphere there’s four months of it with the Premier League.
“People can still enjoy themselves without alcohol.”
ROB CROSS conquered the Big Apple with a broken TOE and after pigging out on the city’s finest fast food.
Voltage, 33, was the best Englishman in New York as he beat Welshman Gerwyn Price 8-7 in the final of the US Darts Masters.
In the build-up to this World Series of Darts invitational, the Hastings target man tried to shed some weight with a quick gym session.
Yet it all went wrong as he ended up injuring himself in the process – and he will now be sidelined from any form of cardio for the foreseeable future.
Cross laughed: “I went to the gym once. I made ten minutes and broke my toe.
“So, that’s off the radar at the moment. The gym ain’t made for me. Not at the minute. It has not been easy on my foot.”
Rob Cross believed he was beaten at 5-2 down in the final - only to come back and win 8-7.
Voltage said after picking up the trophy: “This means a lot to me.
“I felt a little bit spent at the end and I thought Gezzy had me beaten, but I’m really glad to get over the line.
“Gezzy is probably my best mate on tour. He’s one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met, but for me to win any title with the likes of Luke Littler around, you’ve got to embrace it.
“I’m working really hard and I feel better than ever. I think I was a little bit fortunate tonight, but I’ve loved this weekend, it’s been absolutely amazing.”
