My DIY mask will help your hair grow in just 30 minutes – it only uses 3 cheap kitchen staples
A GLAMOROUS woman with enviably long hair has revealed the homemade treatment she uses to make her tresses grow.
She used three ingredients that most people already have in their kitchen to make a hair mask.
Ouissalka (@ouissalka) has garnered over 92,000 followers on TikTok, where she gives a glimpse into her life.
She looked in good spirits as she shared a tutorial for a DIY hair mask that sparks growth and hydrates locks.
She broke one egg in a glass bowl, then added one tablespoon of honey, and half a tablespoon of olive oil.
The ingredients became a smooth yellow consistency as she mixed them thoroughly.
“Detangle your hair,” she said.
The beauty guru used a hair dye brush to apply the mask to her roots before saturating the rest of her strands with the gooey mixture.
“Leave for 30 mins,” she said.
She showed how voluminous and healthy her waist-length curls looked after she rinsed and dried her hair.
The DIY mask impressed many viewers and racked up over 2,400 likes.
Ouissalka recommended using the mask at least once a week for “shiny hydrated” hair.
“You must wash your hair with shampoo to remove all the excess. It works!” she said.
The hair mask recipe comes after an article by Healthline shared the many benefits of egg yolk.
The superfood contains Vitamins A and E, biotin, and folate, which have been linked to hair growth and healthy hair.
Studies have also shown that honey may be a beneficial treatment for promoting hair growth and restoring moisture in hair.
Research that supports the use of olive oil in hair care is limited, however, it is believed that it may add softness and strengthen by penetrating the hair shaft.
Jasmine Lisbeth (@hairwithjas) shared with her 141,000 followers a similar mask recipe after noticing how dry her hair felt.
She mixed a Tresemme conditioner, honey, olive oil, and egg yolk in a bowl and then used her hands to apply the treatment.
