I packed in my City job to turn a £15k horse box into an alpine bar – it cost me barely anything & there’s no rates

This truck does more than transport goods from A to B and opens up into a complete mobile bar.

The amazing creation is the work of Guy Williams, 44, a former chartered surveyor, who left the profession behind to pursue his carpentry dreams.

He made the incredible truck-turned-bar from entirely recycled materials costing £15,000 to buy and convert.

It is fully functional and has hosted guests at various weddings and music festivals so far.

Guy reveals that most of them are shocked to discover that they're having a drink in a converted horse box.

Guy, who is originally from Swansea, said: "I live a nomadic lifestyle and have always wanted to earn a living on the road - I've run bars and hotels in the past and wanted to build something for myself.

"I love creating cosy spaces and am in my element in an après ski bar in the Alps."

He added: "So the goal was to create an après ski bar of my own which is on wheels and travel the country sharing a good time with others.

"Everything in the bar has been made from recycled materials, from floor joists for the back bar to a cork ceiling in the bar area.

"The bench seating was given to me by a friend who took over an old café premises and that was left when she took it on.

Guy says he doesn't have to deal with restrictions most bars have because he is mobile.

He explained: "Having a mobile bar means I have no business rates, I don't have to pay permanent staff and I can work when I want to work.

"Plus, every time I 'work', I'm surrounded by people who just want to have fun and I'm making people happy."

Guy, who is now based between Bristol and Bath in the UK, added: "I love arriving for the first time at an event and unfolding the bar in the middle of a field. It's as if it's a permanent feature everywhere you go."
