LUTON defender Tom Lockyer collapsed during a Premier League clash with Bournemouth this afternoon.
The match was stopped in the 62nd minute as medics tended to the star, who collapsed off the ball.
Both teams were then sent back to the changing rooms before Lockyer was carried off to a standing ovation at the Vitality stadium.
An immediate update from the Luton X account read: "There's a break in play as Tom Lockyer seeks medical attention. We are all with you, Locks."
It has since been confirmed that the defender is "alert & responsive".
Fans took to social media to share well-wishes for Lockyer, with one person tweeting: “All thoughts with Tom Lockyer.”
A second commented: “I hope everything's alright with Tom Lockyer.”
A third wrote: “Prayers and thoughts with Tom Lockyer.. Hope he’s okay!”
A fourth said: “Praying Tom Lockyer is ok.”
While a fifth added: “Gutting hearing what's happened with Tom Lockyer. Get well soon, king.”
Prior to the medical emergency, Luton were holding Bournemouth to a 1-1 draw.
