Fire breaks out at luxury hotel popular with celebrities
Around 100 people have been evacuated after a fire broke out at a luxury London hotel.
Twenty fire engines and around 125 firefighters were called to Chiltern Firehouse in central London, the London Fire Brigade (LFB) said.
They were first called at 2.52pm and were still at the scene on Friday night.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
In a statement, the LFB said: "There is a fire in ducting which leads from the ground floor to the roof of the four-storey hotel with a restaurant on the ground floor. A plant room at roof level is also alight."
The hotel's bar and restaurant is a well known as a celebrity hotspot - Taylor Swift chose it for a night out with her boyfriend after finishing her Wembley shows last summer.
It was also due to host Netflix's Bafta party on Sunday.
Rooms at the hotel, located in the Marylebone area and close to Baker Street, cost more than £700 per night.
