DANCING On Ice champ Ryan Thomas' family proudly supported him backstage after he won tonight's final.

Former Coronation Street star Ryan, 39, emerged as the 2024 series winner alongside his skating partner Amani Fancy.

The actor, who is best known for playing Jason Grimshaw on the ITV soap, was supported by his loved ones.

His Towie fiancée Lucy Mecklenburgh, 32, actress daughter Scarlett, 15, Waterloo Road star Adam, 35, and Love Islander brother Scott, 35, were all at the rink to cheer him on.

Lucy and Scott took to their Instagram Stories this evening to share behind-the-scenes footage from the show.

Posting on the platform, Ryan later thanked his fans for keeping him in the competition.

He wrote:  "Thank you to everyone that votes, sends messages.

"I read & think how lucky I am to be liked by people I’ve never even met before, there’s a lot to be said for just people being kind, it really makes a difference.

Scarlett's mum is Corrie star Tina O'Brien while Ryan shares young children Roman and Lilah with Lucy.

Things weren't all plain-sailing, though, as Stephen Mulhern made a huge blunder when he announced the 'wrong name'.

The veteran presenter was given the important job of closing off the show with the the crowned winner.

In the file it all came down to soap star Ryan and Made In Chelsea personality Miles Nazaire.

When it came to formerly announcing the winner for the last time on the show, Stephen had accidentally announced the wrong name of the professional skater.

Vanessa Bauer's name was called out alongside Ryan, when it should have been Amani's.
