People are only just realising the ‘smart’ reason bottle caps have different colours…and it’s blowing their minds
People are only just realising the little-known reason the Pepsi logo is red, white and blue.
Writer for The Small Business Blog Spencer revealed that the colours of the logo have a deep meaning.
He said: "The red, white, and blue colours in Pepsi's logo evoke the patriotic spirit of the American flag, reflecting the brand's deep-rooted ties to American culture and heritage.
"The logo underscores Pepsi's legacy as a beloved American beverage brand, symbolising its status as an American icon.
"This timeless design resonates with consumers, evoking a sense of pride and nostalgia for generations of Pepsi drinkers."
The colours of the logo were added in the 1950s to help stir up patriotic feelings during World War II - signalling their support of American soldiers.
People are only just realising what the Travelodge logo is actually showing
People have been left mind-blown after discovering that the image doesn't, in fact, show a hilly landscape.
Instead, it's actually a profile view of a man laying down asleep.
People took to TikTok to marvel over the discovery, with one writing: "Since when was the Travelodge logo someone asleep in bed?
"This whole time I thought it was a hill and some mountains!"
"HOW did it take me SO LONG to realise it's some geezer lying down, not mountains and a sunset?!" they added.
"I worked for Travelodge... I didn't even know this!" another laughed.
People are only just realising why there’s a bow on the front of their knickers
A woman from underwear brand Mori took to Instagram to share the reason, admitting she "grew up wondering" what they were for.
"They exist for practical reasons rooted in the pre-elastic days (think: way before the 1930s)," she continued.
"The little ribbon and bow system through the eyelets helps keep the undergarment secured and fitted."
In addition, the bows are "really handy" when you're getting dressed in the dark and don't know the front from the back of your knickers.
"Keep in mind that this was pre-elastic, so it was pretty much pre-domestic electricity as well!" she added.
"Maybe the reasons they were invented aren’t relevant to our everyday lives and are purely embellishments in the current context…" she continued.
"But looking inward - I love how these bows evoke a sense of femininity.
"It feels familiar, nostalgic, and personal in a way that I can’t find the right words for."
