Rochelle and Marvin Humes win battle to demolish partially-built £3.5m mansion in plans to build dream £5m home
MARVIN and Rochelle Humes have been given the go-ahead to build a £5million dream mansion complete with a "glam room" - after knocking down a NEW BUILD.
Building work had already started on the three-storey luxury north London pad but was not completed when the couple snapped up the land.
Now I'm A Celebrity star Marvin, 38, and This Morning host Rochelle, 34, want to demolish the partially built structure and start again.
But they want to keep the basement which will boast a gym, sauna, steam room, entertainment room and play room for kids Alaia-Mai, Valentina and Blake.
The ground floor will have a grand entrance hall, morning room, boot room and a first floor master bedroom with his and hers dressing rooms for Marvin and Rochelle, and a glam room.
Officials at the local council gave the re-build the green light after there were no objections from neighbours in the designated conservation area.

They ruled: "Overall, whilst the size of the proposed dwelling has been increased somewhat, it is considered that the design and appearance ensure that the dwelling would integrate acceptably into this rear garden development site.
"The proposal is considered to preserve the character and appearance of this part of the conservation area and is not considered to harm the character and appearance of the street scene."
Planning permission was first granted for a new build in the former rear garden of a nearby house which included a swimming pool and diving board but was then subdivided into two plots.
The original plans were for a contemporary-style glazed pad with a basement games room, cinema, gym and sauna, and a first floor library and a lift.
But construction of the six-bedroom property was never completed, leaving a partially built concrete slab structure.
The Humes bought the land for £3.4million in June last year and in October applied for planning permission to demolish the existing shell.
They submitted revised plans for a five-bedroom pad, reducing the width of the ground floor wings, the first floor floorspace, the depth of the front portico and the number of roofights.
The Humes are currently living in rented accommodation after selling their former £3.3million home nearby.
Rochelle has an Instagram account dedicated to sharing all about her new forever home and has previously posted a snap of the house, saying: "Did someone say new chapter?"
