I found the best, most inexpensive moisturizer ever at Trader Joe’s – I’m pushing my L’Occitane to the side
A BEAUTY guru has sparked a rush to Trader Joe’s after sharing a budget-friendly hand cream that hydrates dry skin.
She raved that the skincare product is just as effective as a bestselling cream that costs six times as much.
Ashley (@ashxglamour) routinely shares beauty buys and tips on TikTok, where she is steadily growing her following.
She was eager to share that she had found the “best L’Occitane dupe” while browsing the shelves at Trader Joe’s.
“The best most inexpensive hand cream I’ve ever tried!” she gushed.
“Trader Joe’s hand cream has pushed my L’Occitane to the side.
“The container comes with so much product, has a light fragrance, and is so affordable.
“This is going to be a permanent staple in my routine.
“Have you tried this yet?” she asked viewers.
L’Occtiane has gained a reputation for its Shea butter hand cream, which is available on the brand’s website for $30.
They claim the nourishing hand cream with 20% Shea butter “transforms hands from dry to soft and supple” after just one application.
It has a 4.5-star rating from happy customers and thousands of glowing reviews.
However, Ashley left her viewers eager to try Trade Joe’s Ultra Moisturizing hand cream, as it contains a strikingly similar formula for just $4.99.
The product description says, “It’s made with coconut oil, hemp seed oil, and 20% pure shea butter, along with essential fatty acids and skin-friendly antioxidants like vitamins C & E.
“We also add sunflower seed oil, sweet almond oil, and linseed extract, which are prized for their skin-soothing/skin-softening abilities.
“The end result here is a luxuriously thick and rich, paraben-free hand cream that will hydrate your dry, wintry hands and leave them smelling enchantingly fresh.”
Shea butter is a natural vegetable fat derived from processing nuts from the shea tree.
An article published by MedicalNewsToday says Shea butter has multiple benefits for the skin, including anti-aging and trapping moisture in the skin.
Raw, unrefined shea butter can be applied directly to the skin, as well as the lips and nail cuticles.

Studies have shown that its anti-inflammatory properties may also alleviate the symptoms of eczema.
The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology states allergic reactions are either extremely rare or non-existent, despite shea nut being considered a true nut.
