BBC Breakfast in yet ANOTHER hosting shake-up as Sally Nugent disappears from screens days after Naga Munchetty

BBC Breakfast star Sally Nugent was missing from viewers' screens today - but was replaced by a familiar face.

Sally usually hosts the flagship show alongside Jon Kay from Monday to Wednesday.

However, fans instead saw Sarah Campbell join Jon on the show's red sofa.

The pair covered topics including the TV adaptation of Jilly Cooper's Rivals and death of country singer Kris Kristofferson.

It comes following Sally, 53, previously vanishing from the show earlier this month.

At the time, she took to social media to share a poolside snap after heading abroad.

The mum-of-one did not share her location, but could be seen sporting a big smile.

Meanwhile, the fan favourite wore a gorgeous pink shoulderless dress as she laughed with her friend.

Sally's latest absence follows show counterpart Naga Munchetty disappearing for two days in a row.

Viewers usually see Naga, 49, team up with Charlie Stayt on Thursday through to Saturday.

On Saturday, she was nowhere to be seen as Nina Warhurst, 43, stepped up to fill her place.

Usually, Nina appears on Breakfast as a business and consumer affairs reporter.

Although this is not the first time she has co-presented the morning news show in a host shake-up.

Previously, Nina stepped in twice within two weeks to cover for Sally while she was away.

Popular star Sally first joined BBC Breakfast back in 2011, initially on a freelance basis.

In October 2021, she was named as a permanent presenter following Louise Minchin's departure.

She unveiled the news by posting a snap of her and then co-host Dan Walker on Twitter.

Sally captioned her update: "Delighted to confirm I’m joining @mrdanwalker permanently as co-presenter of @BBCBreakfast.
