Ryan, 39, showed off his six pack at the launch show before going on to take his place at the top of the leaderboard.

Now The Sun can exclusively reveal how his bank balance has received a massive boost even before his efforts on the ice.

A Dancing On Ice source told us: "Ryan bagged a massive £105,000 for the series - bosses knew he’d be popular as he still has a huge following from his soap days and they were keen to make sure he signed up.

"He has that cheeky chappie charm that always goes down well with viewers, and he is competitive too, so the producers are confident he will go far and is worth the money."

The Sun has approached ITV and Ryan's rep for comment.

His show fee is under that of Pamela Anderson, who bagged and impressive £150,000 for her turn on the ice in 2013.

Yet he bagged £5,000 more than Love Island's Ekin Su, who got £100k in 2023.

Meanwhile, Ryan has already proved a hit with Dancing On Ice viewers.

Shortly ahead of his debut twirl on the ice, he uploaded a candid post to Instagram in memory of his dad.

Fighting back tears, Ryan told his followers: “I have got all the family coming, I’ve got my brothers, my fiancé, my sister-in-law, my mum, my friends…

“Tonight’s for you dad, happy birthday. I love you so much.”

He added the caption: “Feeling very Blessed to have all my family here tonight.

“Love you Dad. I know your watching somewhere with a southern comfort one piece of Ice!”

Meanwhile, Ricky Hatton - who came bottom of the leaderboard - told The Sun how he was close to "chucking the towel in."
