The brand then replied: "That product has recently been discontinued."
The distraught fan said: "of all the flavours, why that one?"
But Heinz did not explain the decision.
However, the soup does still appear to be in stock on the Tesco website, as well as on Amazon.
If you're a fan of the item, it may be worth stocking up now before it's gone for ever.
The Sun has contacted Heinz for comment.
Heinz Cream of Tomato soup was first launched in 1910 with many more flavours added since.
Flavours currently available include chicken, potato and leek, chicken noodle, lentil, beef broth, carrot and coriander, and spicy parsnip among others.
HEINZ DISCONTINUED FAVOURITES
Big brands often switch up ranges depending on customer demand.
Food companies also launch limited edition flavours or products as a way of testing appetite.
If successful they may gain a permanent place in a range or be quietly shelved if demand is low.
But it seems Heinz has been making a lot of changes in recent months.
It comes after Heinz also took its cream of tomato soup with a kick of chilli off sale.
We also reported that Heinz has also stopped producing its popular ploughman's pickle and easy to spray salad dressings.
It comes after the food giant also discontinued the Piccalilli Pickle condiment.

Why are products axed or recipes changed?

ANALYSIS by chief consumer reporter James Flanders.
Food and drinks makers have been known to tweak their recipes or axe items altogether.
They often say that this is down to the changing tastes of customers.
There are several reasons why this could be done.
For example, government regulation, like the "sugar tax," forces firms to change their recipes.
Some manufacturers might choose to tweak ingredients to cut costs.
They may opt for a cheaper alternative, especially when costs are rising to keep prices stable.
For example, Tango Cherry disappeared from shelves in 2018.
It has recently returned after six years away but as a sugar-free version.
Fanta removed sweetener from its sugar-free alternative earlier this year.
Suntory tweaked the flavour of its flagship Lucozade Original and Orange energy drinks.
While the amount of sugar in every bottle remains unchanged, the supplier swapped out the sweetener aspartame for sucralose.
