Officers say a search is under way involving specialist police, mountain rescue teams and search dogs as well as the coastguard.

Durham Constabulary revealed Jenny, who is 6ft with long dark hair, is a keen long-distance runner and they are carrying out a wider sweep of the Teesdale area.

A spokesman for the force said: “We would like to thank the public for their continuing support in the search.”
