‘Love the colours’ say shoppers who’ve spotted ‘beautiful’ £3 flower bouquet for Mother’s Day – and they ‘last ages’
MOTHER'S Day has officially arrived - and if you haven't had the chance to buy your mum, or a special someone, a bouquet of flowers, then cash-savvy shoppers have come to rescue.
Whilst many retailers offer beautifully arranged flowers, these are oftentimes expensive, especially around Mother's Day - but luckily, bargain hunters have spotted just the perfect deal.
According to them, you can treat your mum - or even yourself - to a ''beautiful'' bouquet of flowers from a popular supermarket without forking out a fortune.
The best part? Not only are the flowers stunning and are sure to brighten up any day, but customers have also been raving about the quality, insisting the blooms won't wither away for ''days''.
Informing fellow money-smart shoppers, one anonymous person took to Facebook, where they shared the incredible find on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group.
The stunning bouquet, the customer revealed in the post, was from Lidl's Pocket Money Posy range - and there are plenty of colour schemes to choose from.

Whilst the shopper had decided to opt for a gorgeous baby pink and blue bouquet of gerberas and roses, you can also pick a more vibrant pink and purple one - or a summery pink and yellow version instead.
What's more, the flowers - which sell for £2.49 - also come in a special Mother's Day packaging, so shoppers don't need to worry about that either.
All chuffed with the bargain find, the Facebook user said: ''£2.49 from Lidl'', alongside two heart eye emojis.
The post, uploaded less than a day ago, has already gone viral on the platform, with more than 2.2k people giving it a like.
Hundreds of fellow members of the popular group flocked to comments to tag their pals and family, as well as share their thoughts.
''What a lovely colour,'' wrote one person.
Someone else agreed, adding that shoppers won't need to replace the bouquet for some time either.
''Flowers always last ages from here and Aldi.''
Another chimed in after snapping up the bargain earlier: ''Got them this morning for my mum tomorrow, they smell nice too, great value.''
''They are so pretty!'' a fourth was amazed by the colours.
How to make your fresh flowers last for longer
There are also a few easy hacks that will ensure your stunning bouquet stays fresh for longer, and one of them involves using a common cleaning product.
According to savvy TikTok fans, the answer is simple - just a little dash of regular household bleach; a trick that was demonstrated by one woman, Katie Love.
The trick - as bonkers as it may initially seem - is also all the rage in the florist community, with experts at Walden Floralla saying it's a ''good'' idea to add one-quarter teaspoon of bleach to one litre of water in your vase.
The reason, they explained, is pretty straightforward - bacteria.
''Bacteria will start to grow in the water, turning it cloudy, smelly, and shortening the lifespan of the cut flowers you just obtained.
''What bleach actually does to bacteria is it causes them to unfold and stick to each other.
''After they stick to each other they stop being able to function, and then they die.''

The best way to keep your lovely flowers lasting for as long as possible is to change the water every few days.
Simply empty the vase, fill it with fresh water, add a bit of bleach, optional sugar (which acts as food for the blooms), cut up to an inch off the stems and then place the flowers back into the vase.
