Dancing on Ice’s Ryan Thomas suffers nasty accident in rehearsals – just days before new series begins
DANCING On Ice star Ryan Thomas revealed today that he suffered a nasty accident while rehearsing for the live show.
The Corrie star, 39, and pro dance partner Amani Fancy joined Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle on ITV's This Morning on Tuesday.
Ryan opened up about his nerves ahead of his first performance on Sunday, with Amani revealing that he had taken a "tough fall" just a few weeks ago.
TV presenter Josie asked: "Is he a good student," with Ryan replying: "I'm hard work Josie."
Amani told viewers: "He's got good self-awareness but he's an interesting student and we works harder than anyone else I know.
"He'll go to his paddle competitions, go to PT, be with his kids and go to skating.

"He tries to stay focused, I'll tell him to go on your right leg but he'll do it on his left leg.
"He'll chuckle and not come back until I've calmed down a little bit, it's like a little kid on ice."
Amani then explained that they're training hard to avoid another accident on ice.
She added: "I mean we've got a long journey ahead of us, we need to make sure that what happened in practice a few weeks ago doesn't happen in the live shows - which was quite a tough fall.
"But it's not easy, they've got to lift us, they've got a life in their hands.
It comes after fellow competitor Amber Davies suffered a horror injury resulting in being rushed to rehab.
In November it was revealed that Ryan has been paired with pro skater Amani.
Posting a series of pics with the actor, she wrote: "I’ve honestly been hoping for this pairing since the @dancingonice line up came out after watching an interview Ryan was on, to the point where I’ve nagged production to tell me if it was him countless times but had no luck until today."
Amani added: "I’m so proud to be your partner and cannot wait to see you thrive and become the skater I know you can be. Who knows, maybe we won’t be able to tell who the professional is by the end of the competition."
The skater brings a wealth of experience to the show, and is a two-time British national champion.
Meanwhile, when Ryan was revealed to be taking part on Dancing On Ice, he said at the time: "When you can actually get the opportunity to go and work with new people, outside your comfort zone, learn something new, it's exciting, especially when you've got kids and family at home.
"It's nice to do those things, it's huge."
Ryan went on: "It's a nerve-racking experience and we're very supportive of everyone that's doing the show, we want everyone to do well, that's the right thing to say isn't it?"
