Earthquake of 2.0 magnitude strikes Hong Kong at 1.22pm, with 10 residents reporting mild tremors

A 2.0-magnitude earthquake struck Hong Kong on Monday, the city’s weather forecaster said, after about 10 residents reported experiencing mild tremors.

The Hong Kong Observatory said the earthquake, which was at a depth of 10km (6.2 miles), hit Lantau Island near Lung Mei Hang at around 1.22pm.
