Everyone thinks I spend a fortune in Jo Malone to make my house smell amazing but it actually only costs 5p
DAMP laundry, cooking and constantly closed windows can all contribute to bad smells lingering around the home.
However, one woman has found a clever hack to make her house smell heavenly – from as little as 5p per day.
If you’ve been on social media at all, you’ll be aware just how popular Jo Malone has become.
From perfumes to room diffusers, the brand seems to be everywhere with influencers gushing about the timeless scents.
With most of their bestselling diffusers starting from £74 or more, the iconic British brand is not something most of us can afford to regularly splash out on.
However, one influencer has found a clever way to recreate the scent without the eye watering price – and it’s left many Tiktok users completely stunned.

If you’ve not come across @cxurtniehome_ on the app, you might want to give the interiors expert a follow as her stunning neutral home would give Molly Mae envy.
Despite this, it’s Courtnie’s thrifty hack that has been going viral with the short clip being seen over 16,000 times on the app since it was first uploaded.
Rather than repurchasing the expensive reed diffusers, the content creator opts to refill them using similar scents from Aldi.
As seen in her short video, the interior whizz shows how easy this is to do – especially as the German supermarket has a virtually identical lime and basil scent to the high end store.
If you still aren’t sold, you might just want to hear how just little this thrifty hack costs her.
Whilst refills from Jo Malone can cost £85 and aren’t available in every scent, you can find an alternative at Aldi for a fraction of the price.
The supermarket’s dupes have caught the eye of shoppers and have regularly gone viral, as they cost just £3.39 per bottle.
With a 100ml average diffuser lasting up to 2 months, you could pay as little as 5p per day to enjoy a sensational smelling home.
In addition, you could save up to £81.61 just by making the switch to the supermarket version.
Unsurprisingly, she isn’t the only one obsessing over the designer dupes with fans waiting for the smell-a-like scents to be restocked.
If you are planning on visiting Aldi in the coming weeks, you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled as shoppers recently found another almost identical fragrance.
Just in time for Christmas, the supermarket launched their Snowdrop and Moss candle – which is near identical to a festive Jo Malone scent.
Available only as a cologne worth a whopping £111.80, purchasing the high end perfume is nothing to sniff at.
