Despite her extraordinary athletic prowess, Diamond - real name Livi Sheldon - said that joining the Gladiators was not about flaunting her abilities but rather about 'inspiring others to embrace their uniqueness and encouraging people not to hide away.'

She's certainly steady on her feet, as photos on her Instagram show she has completed Britain's Three Peak challeneg.

She said: "I feel like becoming a Gladiator is something I've been training for my whole life.

"From playing football when I was younger, through to swimming, and then going into bodybuilding.

"I feel like all of it has led me to this outcome of being a Gladiator. I do not think I would have had half the strength that I currently have if I hadn’t had all of my past experiences."

Her social media is filled with snaps of her active lifestyle with Grant, as well as romantic dinners and holidays with friends.

A sporty schoolgirl, Livi broke barriers early by joining the boys' football team at six years old before swapping to the girls' team, where she eventually became captain.

Progressing to play for Worcester City Ladies, she also swam competitively for her county during her childhood.

Despite her achievements, the Gladiator, who began training for arena duels at the age of nine, has openly discussed facing teasing for her height and grappling with emotional eating during her younger days.

Asked why she wanted to join the show, Liv added: "I’ve always wanted to inspire others to embrace their uniqueness, and encourage people to not hide away, and go for what you want.

"I was always the girl who played football with the boys and was seen as a bit of an outcast.

"I wanted to show younger girls that you can be a badass, but remain feminine and girly at the same time.

"So, in essence, I wanted to become a Gladiator to inspire, really… and to kick ass, obviously!"
