  • Chelsea signing Samu Omorodion

Chelsea are set to sign Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid after an impressive loan stint at Alaves.

According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Omorodion will be moving to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues and Atletico have struck a £35million deal for the striker.

The Spain Under-23 international has penned a seven-year contract with the West Londoners.

The 20-year-old is set to undergo a medical at Chelsea.

  • Martin Zubimendi transfer war

Liverpool are keen on signing Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi this summer.

Zubimendi, who has previously been linked with a move to Arsenal and Manchester United, has been named as a top target for the Reds.

However, the potential deal is understood to be difficult with the 25-year-old’s release clause having to be paid in full.

The midfielder is believed to have a £51.7million buyout in his Sociedad contract, a hefty fee to cover in one.

Another stumbling block for the Merseysiders could be convincing the Spain international to make the switch to the Premier League.

According to The Athletic, other suitors such as the Gunners and Barcelona have failed to convince Zubimendi to jump ship.

  • Another goalkeeper for Newcastle?

Burnley star James Trafford could be a step nearer moving to Newcastle after his club signed a replacement.

The Magpies have already failed in a £16million bid for Trafford, who was the hero of England's under-21 European Championship triumph in 2023.

But the Toon have been given hope they could finally get their man after the Clarets signed another goalkeeper in Etienne Green from Saint-Etienne.

Burnley are holding out for £30million for Trafford, the same fee they are demanding from Manchester United for Sander Berge.

  • Federico Chiesa situation

Manchester United are still keeping tabs on Juventus star Federico Chiesa during summer transfer window.

Chiesa, though, is also being eyed by Tottenham as well as Arsenal.

According to the Daily Mail, Juve are looking to sell up to eight players this summer, including the winger.

Both United and the Gunners are eyeing a cut-price deal for the 26-year-old, who is into the final year of his contract.

  • Marc Guehi merry-go-round

Liverpool are ready to join the bidding war for Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi.

The Reds are keen to rival Newcastle, with Palace ready to demand £75million for Guehi.

The Merseysiders are also planning a swap deal for Newcastle star Anthony Gordon.

That could see Liverpool ace Joe Gomez going the other way at St James' Park.

  • Julian Alvarez imminent

Manchester City star Julian Alvarez is closing in on a move to Atletico Madrid.

According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Atletico are preparing all documents to complete the Alvarez deal.

It may take some time until the striker signs his contract with Atleti but a verbal agreement has been reached.

The Argentina international agreed on contract until 2029 following a deal between the Spanish giants and City which will cost €75million (£64m) plus €20m (£17m) in add-ons.

  • Hein closing in on move

Arsenal keeper Karl Hein is on the verge of joining La Liga side Real Valladolid on loan.

The Spanish club have swooped in late to nab the Gunners No3 after League One Charlton had shown an interest.

Hein, 22, started all three of Arsenal’s pre-season games in the States with David Raya and Aaron Ramsdale enjoying an extended break after their Euros antics.

But having signed a new deal in June, it was always the plan for him to go out on loan this season for some much-needed first-team experience.

  • Chelsea defender joins Sheffield United

Alfie Gilchrist has joined Sheffield United on loan for the 2024-25 season.

Upon his arrival at Brammall Lane, the defender said: "I am really looking forward to it. It is a great opportunity which the club and the manager have given to me.

"I am just looking forward to getting started. It has always been the plan to showcase what I can do in the Premier League with the chances I've had, so now I want to try and do that week in, week out, here.

"This is a new challenge. I am taking myself out of my comfort zone. I've been there (at Chelsea) a while now, so I am ready to kick on. I came here last season for an away day, and seeing the fans and how they get behind the team, how much they love it, I was impressed."

Everton are the latest club to join the race to sign Reims midfielder Amir Richardson.

Tottenham and Leicester have both been linked with the 22-year-old already this summer.

Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Real Sociedad and Spain star Martin Zubimendi.

The midfielder was previously linked with both Arsenal and Manchester United.

According to The Athletic, the Reds are now exploring a deal for Zubimendi.

However, it could be complicated by the requirement to pay his £51million release clause in full.

  • United right-back chase

Manchester United’s preferred right-back signing remains Noussair Mazraoui.

The Red Devils’ current plan is to sign the Bayern Munich defender once Aaron Wan-Bissaka joins West Ham.

However, if Wan-Bissaka rejects the Hammers, United will turn to a swap deal with Inter Milan involving Denzel Dumfries, The Athletic report.

Dumfries is not planning to discuss a new deal with Inter until after the transfer window closes as he favours a move and is keen on joining United.

  • Solanke talks

Tottenham have opened talks with Bournemouth for the signing of Dominic Solanke, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The striker has already told Spurs he wants to join the club this summer.

Negotiations are now ongoing to finalise a fee and complete the signing.

  • No Sancho bid

Paris Saint-Germain have yet to make an official bid for Jadon Sancho, according to Fabrizio Romano.

  • Spurs striker hunt

Tottenham are keen on a move for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.

A move for the 27-year-old is dependant on Richarlison's future, though, the Standard report.

Spurs are expecting to receive an offer from a Saudi Pro League club for Richarlison.

Solanke scored 19 Premier League goals for the Cherries last season.

  • Fulham cool interest

Fulham have cooled their interest in Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay.

The Scotland international has been strongly linked with a move to Craven Cottage throughout the summer.

However, The Times report Fulham are turning their attention elsewhere after seeing a £20million bid rejected.

United value McTominay at £30million, with Tottenham and Galatasaray also interested.

  • Veliz loan deal

Tottenham are set to loan striker Alejo Veliz to La Liga new-boys Espanyol.

The Argentine, 20, joined Spurs last summer in a £13million deal.

He struggled for game-time, making just eight appearances including no starts and scoring one goal, and was loaned to Sevilla in January.

But that switch was just as limited minutes-wise as he featured only six times and all off the bench.

Spurs are keen for him to get more experience and with plans to sign a new first-choice striker, they are happy to farm him out.

That has led to the prospect of a straight loan, with no option or obligation to buy, to Espanyol, who were promoted to Spain’s top flight last term.

Veliz has regularly been overlooked for the first-sub appearance during pre-season in favour of 19-year-old centre-forward Will Lankshear.

Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke and Lille’s Jonathan David are among Spurs’ targets as they look to bolster their striker options this summer.

  • United’s Fofana interest

Manchester United are showing late interest in Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana.

However, the 25-year-old is edging closer to joining AC Milan this summer.

Sky Sports Italia report United are yet to submit an official bid for Fofana.

Milan have yet to agree a fee with Monaco, though, with their latest offer still short of the Ligue 1 side’s valuation.

  • Hummels in demand

Mats Hummels is wanted by both Brighton and West Ham this summer.

The German World Cup winner is a free agent after leaving Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season.

According to Sky Sports, Brighton have made contact with the defender.

However, they face competition from the Hammers for Hummel's signature.

  • Federico Chiesa situation

Manchester United are still keeping tabs on Juventus star Federico Chiesa.

Chiesa, though, is also being eyed by Tottenham as well as Arsenal during the summer transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, Juve are looking to sell eight players this summer, including the winger.

Both United and the Gunners are eyeing a cut-price deal for the 26-year-old, who is into the final year of his contract in Turin.

  • Nottingham Forest's Edu interest

Olympiacos have denied reports suggesting their owner Evangelos Marinakis, who is also in charge of Nottingham Forest, is looking to poach Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar.

Reports suggested Marinakis, who also owns Rio Ave, wanted Edu to take over all three clubs as a group sporting director this summer.

That was a role that was initially reserved for famous technical director Antonio Cordon, who took over Olympiacos last year but left soon after due to personal problems.

However, the Greek businessman's camp has poured cold water on the sensational speculation.

  • Sander Berge EXCLUSIVE

Burnley will demand up to £30million for Sander Berge with Manchester United eyeing a bid for the Norwegian.

The Old Trafford club are already understood to have made contact with Berge’s representatives.

And the Clarets, following relegation from the Premier League, would be willing to sell the 26-year-old holding midfielder.

Despite that drop into the Championship they will refuse to sell him cheap however.

SunSport understands that United would be prepared to pay £20m for the player signed for £12m from Sheffield United a year ago.

Burnley, now bossed by Scott Parker after Vincent Kompany took over at Bayern Munich, would hold out for £10m more.

They are under no pressure to sell given that they have a £100m parachute payment to rely on.

Berge, big mates with star international team mates Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard, has become a surprise alternative target following Old Trafford’s refusal to meet PSG’s valuation of £51M for Uruguayan Manuel Ugarte.

  • Arsenal closing in on Merino

Arsenal are reportedly close to signing Real Sociedad star Mikel Merino during the summer transfer window.

According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, a deal between the Gunners and Sociedad may be completed in the next few days.

Romano reports that a package worth in the region of €30million (£26m) has been agreed between both clubs.

However, the structure and payment terms still need to be ironed out between the two teams.

It’s expected a deal will soon be finalised as Merino has already agreed to join the the North Londoners.

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid continue to monitor the midfielder but he prefers a move to the Emirates this summer.

The possibility of working under Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was a key factor behind the Spain international's decision.

  • Hummels linked with Prem move

Mats Hummels has been lined up for a sensational move to the Premier League after leaving Borussia Dortmund as a free agent.

Hummels left Dortmund under acrimonious circumstances after a massive fall out with former manager Edin Terzic.

Now Brighton are willing to take a chance on the centre-back as a free agent, according to transfer insider Florian Plettenberg.

Sky reporter Plettenberg claims that the Seagulls' new manager Fabian Hurzeler has already held a call with the 35-year-old about joining the club.

In the phone call, Hurzeler pitched his sporting project while the ex-Germany international spoke about his own ambitions.

The World Cup winner is reportedly weighing up whether to join Brighton against retiring from football.
