Paul, who was just 67, had recorded a final series of his Great Elephant Adventures.

The two-part series started last week on ITV1 with the final instalment airing tonight.

It saw the Lily Savage star visit Thailand's biggest wildlife hospital and witnesses heart-warming signs for elephants in Laos.

The scenes proved too emotional for fans at home who were reduced to tears and mourning Paul once again.

One said: "Just 28 minutes (ads excluded) left of the last piece to camera Paul made and I'm here for every minute."

A second wrote: "I still can't believe he's not here. What a wonderful man he was."

"Even the Elephants knew just how special Paul was and the empathy he had for animals and it's a special memory that, thankfully, they'll never forget," said a third.

A fourth commented: "A sobbing mess right now."

While a fifth said: "Really in bits watching the end and knowing we won't get another series."

Paul's husband recently revealed how he battled to save his life after he collapsed at home.

Andre Portasio opened up about their final day together.

The former-professional ballet dancer said it had been an "ordinary" Wednesday at home for the pair before tragedy struck.

Andre said they had walked their five dogs, before settling back into their Kent home and popping the telly on.

He said Paul got up to make some tea and he heard a bang, but didn't think anything of it.

Heart wrenchingly when Andre did head into the kitchen to start making some food he saw Paul on the floor.

He froze, before quickly dialing for an ambulance - with the operator telling him to start CPR on his husband.

Paul O'Grady's beloved series For the Love of Dogs will continue in his honour, with This Morning star Alison Hammond taking over hosting duties.
