BBC One’s HUGE Christmas Day movie after King’s Speech revealed as festive TV schedule leaks early

BBC One are planning on serving up a family favourite movie this festive season in order to bring everyone together.

An early look as this year's hotly anticipated Christmas Day schedule has surfaced and it shows that the Beeb are planning to go big with a huge Hollywood movie to be shows after the King's Speech perfect for all ages.

According to the Mirror, Pixar movie Toy Story 4 will receive its mainstream TV premiere on BBC One on Christmas Day.

It will be the first time the fourth instalment of the franchise will have aired on free-to-air TV.

An insider told the publication: “Toy Story has always been a firm favourite as a Christmas premiere to it makes perfect sense to show the fourth one in 2023.

"It’s a tried and tested formula to bring family happiness as everyone settles on the sofa after Christmas dinner.”

In recent years. the channel has also aired the first movies in a particular franchise in the days leading up to Christmas so it is likely that Pixar fans will be able to get their full Toy Story fix.

Elsewhere, BBC One will also be showing other family favourites including Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway and The Addams Family 2.

Viewers will also be treated to hits such as Marry Me and The Witches for the perfect festive viewing.

Sister channel BBC Two will also be airing a slew of movies on Christmas Day and around the holiday period.

Lady Gaga's House of Gucci, directed by Ridley Scott, will take centre stage on their jam-packed Christmas schedule, yet again another movie first on TV.

Carrying on with the big names, Kenneth Brannagh's movie Belfast, starring Fifty Shades of Grey actor Jamie Dornan and the Aretha Franklin biopic, Respect, will make their debuts to celebrate the holiday season.
