Tonight, Coronation Street is the casualty of the schedules after being taken off screens to make way for the England ladies team and their friendly against Austria.

Coverage of the Lionesses match begins at 7.30pm straight after Emmerdale, which is when Coronation Street would normally air.

It means Corrie fans have only had two one-hour episodes this week, but this was balanced out by the fact they got four episodes last week to make up for this week's schedule change.

However, it's not the end of the disruption as next week will see Coronation Street and EastEnders impacted.

While Emmerdale will remain unaffected and air it's 30 minute episodes every night as usual, EastEnders will be off air for two consecutive nights before getting a double episode on Friday.

Meanwhile Coronation Street will be off air on Wednesday, with the episode moving to Thursday in the schedules instead.

This is because of live FA Cup matches on both channels on Tuesday and Wednesday.

In upcoming Coronation Street scenes, Carla Connor will discover a huge betrayal.

The Underworld factory boss portrayed by Alison King has been trying to revive business following Stephen Reid's devious interference last year.

But in doing so, next week on ITV, she figures out that Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) and her stepmother Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) have stolen from her.

Coronation Street’s Jenny Connor makes dangerous decision about the Rovers Return,

Viewers will recall that the pair of women stooped to a new low in a bid to get their hands back on the Rovers Return Inn.

Jenny was forced to close the iconic pub down as she and her staff were booted out by Waterfords.

Determined to reopen, they managed to put an offer in on the boozer with stolen money.

Daisy took charge to help the pub landlady and successfully accessed Jenny's late ex-boyfriend Stephen Reid's accounts, in which he'd been keeping money stolen from Carla's factory accounts.

Although she was initially against Daisy's idea to use Carla's money to buy the Rovers, Jenny had a change of heart following a showdown with the businesswoman on the cobbles, which led her to find out business was back on track at Underworld.

Jenny agreed to Daisy's plan but she insisted on paying back a blissfully unaware Carla.

Coronation Street airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
