Mum of Coronation Street’s Alfie reveals show secrets & answers all your questions including EXACTLY how he got the part
THE mother of Coronation Street's adorable tot Alfie has spilled the beans on how her twin boys landed a role in the famous series.
We recognise them on our TV screens as Alfie Franklin in Coronation Street - and now then mum of the lovely twin duo, Carter and Oakley Razak Townsend, has taken to TikTok to reveal how her children became a part in the cult favourite series.
According to the mum, who runs their social media page @thetownsendtwins2522, fans have essentially watched the kids grow up on their screen, as they've been playing Alfie since they were just two weeks old.
In the now-viral video posted on the platform, the parent also shared a little glimpse of what a day of filming in Manchester looks like - and the sweet twins ''love it''.
After arriving at the ITV studios where the series is shot, the young boys are changed into their special outfits - and for this episode, it was a pair of M&S jeans, as well as a grey zip-up hoodie.
To make sure the characters don't get their clothes mixed up, there's also a little name tag attached to the hanger - and of course, as both tots, now two, are playing Alfie, they had the exact same fit.

What's more, their dressing room, the mum shared in the wholesome video, was perfect for younger kids, as the walls had been painted with different animals, including a giraffe, as well as a friendly hippo.
Meanwhile, to entertain them in-between sets, she blew bubbles and the Townsend twins also played with a ball and a toy car that was also in the room.
''Another fun day filming with Coronation Street! The boys love it, if only work was this fun for me,'' the mum chuckled in the caption.
According to the parent, whose video has since won them a whopping 1.1million views in just two days, the way they landed the role was pretty straightforward.
''I was sent the advertisement, rang them, and the rest is history.''
The mum added that she was also incredibly ''grateful'' for the opportunity, as it's given the family a lot of footage of the tots when they were still ''tiny''.
Dozens of fans flocked to comments with their questions and thoughts.
One was baffled: ''I mean why aren't these cuties verified?
''They've basically worked for Coronation Street all their life, give them the blue tick.''
Someone else said: ''Brilliant, well done boys, massive opportunity here for you, good luck and enjoy it.''
''It's their little wardrobe, gorgeous boys,'' a fellow TikTok use couldn't get over the cuteness.
''Watching the boys grow up is so sweet, they got so big,'' another couldn't believe how the years have flown by.
On our TV screens, the boys play Alfie Franklin, the young son of Abi Webster and Imran Habeeb.
