The surprise appearance came just hours after he spent 26 hours visiting King Charles on Tuesday following his father's cancer diagnosis.

The 2024 NFL Honors see players and coaches awarded for their achievements during the 2023-2024 season.

The Walter Payton Man of Year Award is the league's highest honor and acknowledges a player for his outstanding community service off the field, as well as his outstanding play on it.

Receiving the gong, Pittsburgh Steelers DE Cameron Heyward said: "Classic. ‘Prince freakin’ Harry.

"I’m in shock. That’s Prince Harry."

It comes after Harry jetted to London to see his father on Tuesday following the King's cancer diagnosis.

He was then pictured arriving at London Heathrow at 1.30pm on Wednesday - just 26 hours after landing.

The duke arrived at Los Angeles International Airport around 2.20am to reunite with wife Meghan and kids Archie, four, and Lilibet, two.
