‘She’ll come home from school crying’ people say over rude name mum gave her daughter – but she insists it’s pretty
BABY names is quite the controversial topic - after all, the moniker that's top of your list may not be someone else's cup of tea.
But whatever your personal choice, it's really important to think it over carefully and to say it out loud...because it's the name your little one will be answering to for life.
But one woman has told how her friend failed to do exactly that and instead, gave her daughter a rather rude name instead.
And perhaps worst of all...she's none-the-wiser about it.
In a post shared to Reddit, the horrified woman wrote: "I’m so sorry but my friend really named her baby Annally.
"WHO IS GOING TO TELL HER — SHE ALREADY WENT THROUGH WITH IT."

She goes on to say that months have since passed and everyone in her life seems to agree that it's "pretty."
Your friend wins worst mum of the year, no… century. That is as BAD as it gets. Truly

Explaining how her friend thought up the name in the first place, she continued: "It’s a combination of mother’s names…
"I didn’t want to be a jerk and over the phone it sounded like Anna Lee."
And it wasn't long before forum users were eager to share their opinions on the name in question, with many in agreement the child is likely to endure a lifetime of bullying.
"That poor child," wrote one.
A second agreed: "Your friend wins worst mum of the year, no… century. That is as BAD as it gets. Truly."
A third commented: "No one is going to tell her. She’ll find out when her daughter comes home from school crying."
Meanwhile, a fourth noted: "Just making it super easy for childhood bullies."
Another added: "Jail. now!" while a further chimed in: "That poor kid!
"Hopefully, she will just spell it Anna Lee, and tell people that her name was put into whatever system wrong. She can change it when she's 18."
Elsewhere, others all suggested ways in which the woman should inform her friend of the huge mistake.
"Fire up a throwaway gmail account and drop the truth on her anonymously," one person suggested.

Another quipped: "Pass me the phone, I'll do it!"
And one more advised: "Just tell her the name is beautiful but to legally change the spelling. The baby won’t know the difference."
