TWO of the BBC's most popular shows have been hit by schedule disruption this weekend.

The BBC has featured endless amendments to its usual rigid scheduling over the past few weeks thanks to a slew of live sporting tournaments.

The Euro 2024 havoc caused chaos for the Beeb as it prompted it to axe shows including The One Show and EastEnders.

It happened once again when tennis tournament Wimbledon sprung into action and dominated the TV listing.

Now, with the Olympic Games set to air throughout the day on BBC One for the next couple of weeks, two more shows have been met with a move that is bound to leave fans rattled.

Both Countryfile and Antiques Roadshow will fail to be broadcast on BBC One as usual.

The shows are Sunday night staple's on the Beeb's main channel but will find themselves in a brand new home this weekend.

Amid the disruption, both programmes will instead on BBC Two.

Countryfile will broadcast at 7pm followed by Antiques Roadshow an hour later.

They are however not the only two shows to face the ramifications of the Paris games this weekend.

BBC Breakfast will also be shortened to accommodate coverage of the sporting tournament.

Whilst it will still kick off at 6am live from the MediaCityUK studio, hosts Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt will wrap up at 8am to allow JJ Chalmers and Jeanette Kwakye to broadcast the first full day of highlights live from across the French capital.

BBC Breakfast Adjusts Schedule as Olympics Takes Precedence

The same will happen yet again on both Sunday and Monday meaning less coverage than ever of the day's news and current affairs.

In a further schedule shake-up, BBC One's output of BBC Breakfast will be slashed to just 45 minutes throughout the rest of the week with the remaining coverage being shunted onto sister channel BBC Two.

The Olympics will see another BBC show, Morning Live, taken off the air across summer as it fills the morning, noon and night output.

Apart from two daily news breaks, this Saturday, BBC One will exclusively feature Olympics coverage between 8am and 11:50pm.
