At £2.75, Waitrose has delivered its No. 1 White Chocolate with Pistachio Nuts & Sea Salt bar.

Their own variation of the Dubai-style chocolate bar, the supermarket giants have launched their own twist on the hottest chocolate bar on the market.

With added pistachio paste to the white chocolate, the bar is also laced with chopped pistachios for a crunchy treat.

Sarah Breadmore, Confectionary Product Developer at Waitrose, said: “We sold almost four times as many No.1 Cracking Pistachio Easter eggs this year than we did 2024, selling out both years.

"So it is obvious customers are loving that sweet, salty, pistachio flavour.

"We’ve taken the flavours of the white chocolate, pistachio and more importantly its distinct colour and turned it into a bar for customers to enjoy all year round."

The chocolate connoisseur continued: "It’s totally different from the Dubai style chocolate bars we keep seeing pop up in the market - dare I say, it’s better!

"We can’t wait to see the reaction from customers, I know they won’t be disappointed.”

Shoppers previously swarmed to Lidl to nab the viral Dubai chocolate bar for under a fiver - but Waitrose version is even cheaper.

Now Lidl is launching a tasty chocolate pistachio spread.

How to save money on chocolate

We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs...

Go own brand - if you're not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you'll save by going for the supermarket's own brand bars.

Shop around - if you've spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it's cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you're getting the best deal.

Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced.

They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.

Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.

So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
