Turbulent lives of Love Island All Stars after leaving villa – catfish conman to cheating scandals & blackface row
THEY rose to fame while trying to find lasting romance in the Love Island villa – and now they are back for a second attempt.
Former contestants including Georgia Harrison, Kaz Kamwi and Liberty Poole are among the line-up for Love Island All-Stars, which starts next week.
A lot has happened to the former Love Islanders since leaving the hit ITV reality show – but some have had more luck than others.
While Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague have gone on to forge a £12m business empire, many of the alumni have faced huge upsets in their personal lives.
Here we look at some of the stars' turbulent times since leaving the villas – from becoming the victims of heartbreaking crimes to cheating scandals and harrowing online abuse.
£32k fraudster con
She had a difficult time during her first stint on Love Island back in 2018 when then-partner Josh Denzel's head was turned by Kaz Crossley in Casa Amour.

After that drama, Georgia Steel went on to date Jack Fowler and then Sam Bird, who she left the show with but the pair split up three months later.
In 2019, more heartache followed after she was conned out of £32,000 by serial fraudster Medi Abalimba, who had posed as a US Government agent named Miguel Johnson.
Recalling their whirlwind six-week romance, Georgia described how he “fooled everyone” and spent large sums of her money after cloning her credit card without her knowledge – including buying her a diamond ring.
Abalimba had wined and dined the ex-Love Islander at fancy restaurants, picked her up in a chauffeur-driven Range Rover and even met her family on her 21st birthday.
Their romance came to an end after photos emerged of them online and Georgia’s agent warned her he wasn’t ‘Miguel’ but a convicted fraudster.
In 2014, Abalimba had been jailed for four years for a near-identical scam when he posed as Chelsea footballer Gael Kakuta. He committed 12 offences of fraud worth a total of £163,000.
Recalling her horrific ordeal, Georgia told The Sun: “I went on my online banking and I noticed a drastic amount had just gone.
“I was in my flat and I’ve never been in a situation like that in my life. I was physically sick. I sat on my sofa and thought I was going to faint.”
The conman, who also stole more than £50,000 from Thierry Henry’s ex Nicole Merry, was jailed for four and two months in 2021 after admitting 17 charges including 15 for fraud. He was released last year.
Georgia, now 25, said: “I feel like this is going to affect me for life. Looking back I feel stupid, but at the time it’s like being hypnotised.”
Revenge porn hell
Georgia Harrison, 29, was the last bombshell to go into the 2017 Love Island villa and had a short-lived romance with Sam Gowland, which ended in the outside world.
In 2020, she became a victim of revenge porn after her ex Stephen Bear sold CCTV footage online of them having sex in his garden, which he filmed without her consent.
Georgia, who previously begged the star to delete the video, contacted police after discovering it online and says it “took away an innocent sort of spark that I always had”.
Not only that, the former Love Islander revealed she “almost died” while battling Bear. She suffered a cyst infection that burst and required a hospital stay.
“I was in hospital from the stress,” she told us. “They said my kidneys, my pelvis, and multiple organs were infected and I was going into septic shock.”
In March last year, Bear was sentenced to 21 months imprisonment and ordered to pay her £207,900 in damages – the highest sum awarded in an image abuse case.
After the case concluded, Georgia told us: “He didn't even try to act remorseful or try to act like a good person. He did a very bad thing, on a very obvious way on a verified account and did nothing to cover his tracks or apologise for what he'd done.”
Georgia described the court win as “a moral victory” as it would set a precedent for “anyone considering committing this sort of crime".
Pregnancy heartache
Hannah Elizabeth, 33, was the runner-up on the first series of Love Island, in 2015, alongside boyfriend Jon Clark, who proposed on the final episode.
The couple split up three months later and by 2018, she was engaged to ‘spiritual healer’ and life coach George Andreetti.
Hannah announced her pregnancy the following year but just six days before she was due to give birth, she revealed she had broken up with him.
At the time, she told MailOnline: “I left George when I found out I was pregnant, I had to do what is right for me and my baby.
“He isn’t well at the minute and I don’t agree with what he is posting online. I'm going into this as a single mum, on my own with no support.
“I want my baby to have the best and healthiest upbringing and I am not going to let anyone come between that.”
Previously George had claimed the government was controlled by aliens and said he was the “reincarnation of Merlin” – a fictional wizard who appeared the legend of King Arthur.
Blackface row
Anton Danyluk found himself matched with multiple Love Islanders during his 2019 stint on the show including Amy Hart, Elma Pazar, Amber Gill and Belle Hassan.
But it was his actions outside the villa that caused the most controversy when a photo emerged of him dressed as A-Team character B A Baracus, famously played by Mr T.
In the offensive snap from 2013, Anton had applied black face paint and was seen on a night out with friends in Uddingston, South Lanarkshire.
A pal previously told us: “Anton likes to be the life and soul of the party and his idea of having fun is having all the attention on him.
“He was proud of the effort he put into the costume. He just thought it would be a good laugh.”
It led to many people online, including former Blazin’ Squad star Marcel Somerville, calling for the reality start to be kicked off the show immediately.
In response Anton’s mum said: “Given that Anton has no right to reply, I wanted to take the opportunity to assure everyone that my son, who himself is mixed heritage, is not a racist.”
In 2020, the star hit the headlines again after he was involved in a horror car accident that involved a bus – thankfully no one was hurt.
Anton said he felt “blessed to be alive” after the collision and shared a photo of his mangled motor, which sustained heavy damage to the bonnet.
'Management dropped him'
Mitch Taylor caused a lot of drama in the villa last year. Famously his head was turned by Ella Barnes despite him being paired up with Abi Moores.
In the real world, the gas engineer was forced to return to his normal job just two months after the show ended when he was dropped by his management team.
A source previously told MailOnline: "His management have parted ways with him. He's only been out of the villa two months and they can't put up with it."
It followed claims that he was thrown out of a party for bad behaviour and allegedly making a homophobic remark, which he staunchly denied.
In a response on TikTok, Mitch said: “I was speaking to an influencer at the event and my words to them were, 'I fancied you when you were straight'. I can see how that comes across.
"I am really bad with my words sometimes I was just really nervous to meet this person because I am a fan of them and I do apologise.”
Mitch was also accused of throwing money at a homeless person, which he also insisted was not true.
'Cheating' claim
Luis Morrison, 29, was thought to have found love during his time on Love Island. The star and Cally Jane Beech went on to have a baby together in 2017.
However, one year after daughter Vienna was born, the couple split up and his furious ex claimed she had been “mentally destroyed” by him and “taken for a mug” on social media.
Cally wrote: “Took Luis back when he cheated on me while I was having his baby with the hopes of saving my family. Problem is it takes two to make one, I do everything for that lil girl. Everyone who knows me knows!”
In another post, she added: “When your ex rants on about wanting you back yet is on every girl going... how embarrassing …. jog on with your stripper I’m just sat here being the shining diamond while u continue to pick up your pebbles .... getting quite a collection ain’t ya."
Luis denied the allegations and insisted he had been “painted in a certain way which is not true”.
In 2020, he started Chloe Elizabeth and by October the following year, the couple had a son named Romeo, who was 11 weeks premature and had to stay in hospital for the first nine weeks of his life.
Luis and Chloe split in June the following year. A source close to the couple told The Sun that Chloe felt he was “not making an effort with the newborn baby” and was “always out partying”.
At the time, Luis’s representatives declined to comment.
Cancer battle
Demi Jones first graced TV screens on Winter Love Island back in 2020 and came in third place alongside her now-ex Luke Mabbott.
In May 2021, the social media influencer revealed she had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer after doctors took a biopsy of an unusual lump on her neck.
Demi needed surgery to remove the tumour as well as her entire thyroid. She kept fans up to date with her treatment online, describing it as leaving her “tired all the time”.
Fortunately for the star she was given the all-clear in December that year.
She posted: “It’s been such a difficult year mentally and physically for me with my surgeries and treatment but I’m beyond grateful for everyone’s kindness and support over this past year.”
'Fat shamed'
Liberty Poole, 24, went on to appear on Dancing On Ice and the Love Island Games, a spin-off of the ITV show, after rising to fame back in 2021.
The model, who bagged a £1m deal with fashion brand In The Style after the show, has faced a few difficult moments since becoming a minor celebrity.
In October 2022, Liberty revealed she had been verbally abused by “a group of lads” at an airport, who cruelly branded her “a catfish”.
Later she told The Sun about regularly being ‘fat shamed’ including by online trolls who remarked that she had “a big tummy”.
Last year, Liberty spoke out about a terrifying ordeal in Los Angeles where she and co-star Kaz Kamwi were threatened by a stranger with a knife and had to be saved by two passersby.

She said: “Obviously it's horrible that, that happened but we're all OK and that is the main thing, that we're safe.”
A source previously told The Sun: “Out of the blue, this woman appeared with a knife and threatened them.”
