Premier League LIVE SCORES: Alisson forced to miss out for Liverpool against Everton, Grealish scores for Man City

  • Liverpool 0-0 Everton

    13. The VAR review is complete and the invcident is cleared.

You have to wonder whether you actually need to assault a player to get a red card from Stockley Park.

The follow through from Tarkowski there could have easily broken Mac Allister's leg, who is still receiving treatment.

THOUSANDS of City fans stayed in the concourse for the first nine minutes of the game in protest at the club’s tie up with a NINTH third-party ticket company.

They may have made their point but they missed a special moment inside two minutes as Jack Grealish scored his first Prem goal in 15 months.

Pep Guardiola – watching from the stands due to a touchline ban – would have loved that.

  • Liverpool 0-0 Everton

    10. The atmosphere is something else at Anfield tonight.

Everton are having to try and absorb this early pressure.

Diaz is creating lots of problems for the visitors already.

Tarkowski is booked for a heavy challenge on Mac Allister, the fans feel that should have been more than a yellow card.

  • Southampton 1-0 Crystal Palace

    20. Surprise scoreline coming from St Mary's.

Fernandes does well out wide to cross into the box and Onuachu heads into the bottom corner to get this crowd going.

In-form Crystal Palace need to find a way back into this game now.

  • Goal - Paul Onuachu (Southampton)

  • Liverpool 0-0 Everton

    5. Worrying moment for Liverpool as Diaz goes down injured.

He seemed to turn his ankle as he looked to run at goal.

Fortunately for the home faithful, he is back on his feet and able to continue.

  • Liverpool 0-0 Everton

    1. Early drama at Anfield as Diaz is bundled over in the box.

A corner is awarded as the assistant judges it went out when the Columbian tried to keep it in play.

The replay shows that was a very tight decision, one that would require cameras and not the human eye.

Either way, the cross comes in and Konate heads over the bar.

THERE are two very animated managers on the touchline tonight.

Both Fabian Hurzeler and Unai Emery are up in their technical area, pacing around, pointing, acting out different moves and jeeing up their players.

The two bosses will certainly be entertaining if things get heated tonight and I've got a prime view of them from the press box.

  • Kick-off: Liverpool vs Everton

The Merseyside derby is underway at Anfield.

It is a cauldron of noise as you would expect.

    Everton get the game started.

  • View from SunSport's Gary Stonehouse at St James' Park

It’s another party atmosphere here at St James’ Park as the Carabao Cup winners return to action for the first time since that Wembley triumph.

But Eddie Howe must get his side focussed - they have an even bigger prize at stake as they begin the charge for Champions League qualification.

Though in-form Brentford are looking to extend their unbeaten away run.

  • FIVE to go!

A HUGE Merseyside derby is about to get underway at Anfield.

The clash is Arne Slot's first Merseyside derby at home as Liverpool manager.

  • View from SunSport's Isabelle Barker at Villa Park

Lot's of chants of 'Que Sera, Sera' coming from the boisterous away end to rub extra salt in the wounds of Brighton who were knocked out of the FA Cup against Nottingham Forest last time out.

Meanwhile Villa's incredible season continues with a Champions League quarter-final to look to, now an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley and if they win at the Amex a push for a top-four finish.

Villa's fans are loving it, making a huge racket despite not a great deal separating the two sides for now.

  • Man City 1-0 Leicester

    2. The worst possible start for van Nistelrooy's Foxes.

Savinho plays a pass into the box to pick out Grealish, who slots it home to break the deadlock.

This could be a long evening for Leicester City.

  • Goal - Jack Grealish (Man City)

  • Anfield ready for massive showdown

The 246th Merseyside derby is not far away now.

Everton would love nothing more than to put a dent in their rivals title amibitions this season.

For The Reds, taking one giant step closer to that Premier League crown would feel even sweeter when beating their neighbours in the process.

  • Kick-off

    We are UNDERWAY!

Five HUGE clashes with ramifications at both ends of the table are now off and running, with Liverpool vs Everton to come in 15 minutes.

  • View from SunSport's Martin Blackburn at The Etihad

These are strange times for City – long since out of the Prem title race and the Champions League.

Meanwhile fans are planning protests over City’s ticketing policy by staying out of the stadium for the first nine minutes – while others are boycotting the game altogether.

On the pitch its all about how City cope without their star striker Erling Haaland – who is out for upto seven weeks with an ankle injury.

A Leicester team heading back to the Championship is probably a good way for some of Pep Guardiola’s other forwards to find their shooting boots.

City need a strong run-in to cement a 15th straight season of Champions League football.

  • Reds needing three points at Anfield

Following Arsenal's win over Fulham last night, they have reduced the gap to nine points at the top.

Arne Slot's side will be looking to extend that with their game in hand against Everton this evening.

There is a Premier League title there to be won, they have to show the hunger that they really want it in front of their own fans tonight.

  • 10-minutes to go

The first five fixtures of tonight's action get underway in 10 minutes.

    Those fixtures are:

    • Bournemouth vs Ipswich
    • Brighton vs Aston Villa
    • Man City vs Leicester
    • Newcastle vs Brentford
    • Southampton vs Crystal Palace

SunSport has all the action LIVE.

  • Toffees' boss knows what is expected

Speaking with Sky Sports, David Moyes talked about the size of the challenge they face this evening:

I think we have been on a decent run at the moment. Ready to go again. We would all love to get good results at Anfield. We will come here and look to make it difficult. We want to get back to real consistency. Everyone who comes here has to play well to get a result. Liverpool are top of the league for a reason.

  • Eze on a roll

Eberechi Eze was on fire as Crystal Palace eased past Fulham in the FA Cup quarter-final.

He broke the deadlock, then turned provider for Ismaila Sarr as he scored the second.

Nketiah went on to score the third.

The attacker also scored his first England goal during the break, a fine few days for Eze indeed.

  • Alisson doesn't make the cut

The Brazilian 'keeper Alisson had to leave the Brazil camp early.

This was due to a collision with former Spurs defender Davinson Sanchez during Brazil's clash with Colombia.

He returned to Merseyside, and Slot said: "Ali trained with us as well."

However, there is no room for Alisson, as Kelleher starts, and Jaros makes the bench.

  • Rashford in, Watkins out

Marcus Rashford scored his first goals for Villa in their win over Preston in the FA Cup.

Rashford as a result has retained his place up top for Aston Villa.

He is flanked by Jacob Ramsey and Morgan Rogers, meaning their is no room for Ollie Watkins in Villa's XI tonight.

Still, not a bad option to have on the bench.

  • Haaland's howler

Erling Haaland had his season all but ended during Manchester City's FA Cup clash with Bournemouth.

Pep Guardiola confirmed his talisman would be for at least seven weeks with an ankle injury.

City's new man Omar Marmoush is likely to take charge up front, and he has taken to life in the Premier League well.

A massive blow for Man City in their top four run-in.
