The first big Hollywood studio presentation of the event was from Sony Pictures and according to attendees that walked through the casino hotel doors of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas yesterday (March 31) evening, it sounds like it was a packed lineup of new movies with many directors taking the stage to promote their films.
Tom Rothman, CEO of Sony Pictures, took to the stage first to give a speech that reaffirmed the importance of going to the cinema and making art of making movies. "The most important factor in the health of real movies...meaning movies in movie theatres, is the films themselves. That's our jobs. And we have some good ones coming," he said.
