Man Utd transfer news LIVE: Mbuemo ‘wants United move’, Red Devils in battle for Mitrovic, Fernandes ‘replacement’

  • Mbeumo ‘chooses Man Utd'

Bryan Mbeumo has decided to join Manchester United over Arsenal, according to reports.

The winger has a year left on his Brentford contract and is expected to leave the club this summer.

Mbeumo has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs.

But he has chosen United and the Red Devils are set to open talks with the Bees over his transfer, report The Athletic.

  • Rival switch?

James McAtee has reportedly been left out of Manchester City’s Club World Cup squad amid links with rivals Manchester United.

Shock reports claim McAtee, 22, has emerged as a target for the Red Devils this summer.

The playmaker has been at City since 2013, rising up through the academy before taking in a double loan spell at Sheffield United.

This season saw McAtee emerge as a rotation player under Guardiola, with the ace netting seven goals in 27 outings.

However, City have numerous attacking options both in midfield and out wide.

Guardiola is also said to be plotting swoops for the likes of Lyon’s Rayan Cherki and Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White.

And that could see McAtee become available for a transfer away from the Etihad, with United thought to be circling.

Now, speculation regarding his City future has heated up after McAtee was left out of the squad for the Club World Cup.

  • Fernandes latest

Man Utd are reportedly still waiting for Bruno Fernandes' decision on his future amid links to Al-Hilal.

The Saudi Arabian side are willing to make the Portuguese playmaker one of the best-paid players in the world and are looking to pay the Red Devils a mammoth fee of £100m for his services.

Fernandes is yet to decide on what his future holds and will speak with his family before coming to a conclusion.

The United skipper's agent, Miguel Pinho, has been in Riyadh for talks with senior Al-Hilal executives.

  • Man Utd's pre-season plans

The Red Devils have already played twice since the season finished.

Both performances on their post-season tour of Asia pretty much summed up United's season, losing 1-0 to ASEAN All Stars and then coming from behind to beat Hong Kong 3-1.

There are some exciting clashes for fans to look forward to, with many of the friendlies against Premier League sides.

  • Jur Kidding?

Man Utd should axe Ruben Amorim and bring in JURGEN KLOPP, according to Martin Keown.

The Red Devils boss, 40, is under pressure following a dismal campaign in which United finished 15th in the Premier League and scored just 44 goals.

Losing the Europa League final stole any chance of a bright finish to the season, with there to be no European football to speak of at Old Trafford in 2025-26.

And former Arsenal star Keown, 58, a former fierce rival of Man Utd following his infamous clash with Ruud van Nistelrooy in 2003, has suggested Liverpool legend Klopp to turn things around at his former foes.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Keown said: "After so many losses, I’m still concerned that maybe this isn’t the right manager for Manchester United.

"It’s going to be a very interesting start to next season for them.

"But they could do a lot worse than go and get Jurgen Klopp to manage their football club.

"I’m not trying to sensationalise. I believe he could do an incredible job there...

"And I believe they need somebody with more experience than the current manager."

When asked to confirm his thought by his co-pundits, Keown snapped: "Why not? He’s done a rebuilding job before."

  • Napoli lead Garnacho chase

Recently crowned Italian champions, Napoli, are reportedly leading the race to sign Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho.

Ruben Amorim has told the Argentine that he is free to leave the club this summer.

Chelsea are said to be interested in a move for Garnacho too, but United may prefer to sell to Napoli.

  • Utd eye Fernandes replacement

Manchester United are eyeing up a move for Sporting midfielder Pedro Goncalves, should skipper Bruno Fernandes depart to Al-Hilal.

The Red Devils captain has been linked with a huge £80m move to Saudi Arabia this summer.

Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim worked with Goncalves during his time at Sporting.

  • Man Utd in shock three-way Mitrovic transfer battle

Man Utd are considering a shock swoop for Aleksandar Mitrovic after missing out on Liam Delap, according to reports.

The Red Devils endured a horrific season in 2024-25, managing just 44 Premier League goals as they finished a barely-believable 15th.

Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee are both rumoured to be on the chopping block after dismal campaigns.

Ipswich's breakout star Delap, 22, was the club's No1 striker target, but the former Manchester City academy star is set to join Chelsea instead.

And while United aren't in a position to sign anyone without first selling, Old Trafford chiefs are contemplating a swoop for ex-Fulham striker Mitrovic, according to talkSPORT.

  • A boost for Utd

Randal Kolo Muani is reportedly ready to quit PSG this summer.

The French striker has not enjoyed the success he thought he would after leaving Germany for France, and looks to make his loan away from the club permanent.

He is a target of Man Utd, who could swoop again.

Utd will face stiff competition from Juventus, and other clubs in Serie A, but could be one they go in hard for, as PSG want to offload, and the player wants to leave.

  • The price is right

Manchester United have LOWERED their asking price of Alejandro Garnacho, according to reports.

Napoli and Chelsea are currently interested in bringing in the Argentine winger from Old Trafford.

Utd have slashed £10 million off their asking price, in an attempt to get sides to bid for their winger.

Reportedly, Garnacho has already said his preference is Chelsea, however Scott McTominay has already left the club to join Napoli, and has been a revelation for the side.

  • Utd to miss out on a target

Man Utd had identified Wolves left back Rayan Ait-Nouri as a target in the January window.

According to reports, Amorim was eager to bring the versatile defender to Old Trafford, with his ability to play in a back four or five making him desirable for Amorim's system.

However, United look like they will miss out to Man City, as they close in on a deal for him.

Ait-Nouri, along with Rayan Cherki, both look set to join City over Utd.

Amorim may be able to sleep easier with this one, as the club had not explored a deal for Ait-Nouri since January, meaning their interest may have cooled.

  • Chelsea made up their mind on Sancho?

The Blues loaned Sancho from Man Utd this season, but after a fast start, he failed to live up to the hype he once had at Borussia Dortmund.

The Blues are exploring a deal for current Dortmund star Jamie Gittens, indicating that Sancho may not be going back to Stamford Bridge.

The deal has an obligation to buy if Chelsea finished above 14th, which they did, but earlier in the season, it was revealed they had a get out clause, for around £5 million, which meant they would not have to sign Sancho.

Funnily enough, the deal will end up costing Chelsea only £1.5 million, as Utd had to pay the Blues around £3.5 million for reaching the Europa League final as part of Mason Mount's transfer deal.

A goal in the Conference League final may have swayed Chelsea, however, as the Blues could sign Sancho alongside Gittens, rather than instead of him.

  • Gyokeres NOT on Barca wishlist

Despite interest from the Middle East in Robert Lewandowski, Barcelona sporting director Deco said they are not looking for a new striker amid links with Viktor Gyokeres.

Portuguese tabloid A Bola does cite that the Sporting star is still wanted by Arsenal and Manchester United.

  • Fernandes close to Saudi move

Al-Hilal now believe an agreement with Bruno Fernandes is CLOSE after a week of positive meetings, journalist Ben Jacobs states.

Fernandes is currently deliberating with his family. A key factor in whether Fernandes agrees will be if the move is also right for his family. Hilal want a final answer by Friday.

  • Rival talks

Manchester City have opted against including James McAtee in their squad for the Club World Cup which could open the door for the 22-year-old to move to Manchester United, the Mirror reports.

McAtee has been a rotational player for the Eithad side this season with the attacking midfielder looking at his options after the England Under-21 European Championship.

  • Good morning Utd fans!

The first summer window officially opened yesterday, with clubs having until June 10 to register new players.

After securing the services of Matheus Cunha, Utd's next priority will be either Bryan Mbeumo, or a new defender, with Tyler Dibling identified as an alternative for the Brentford man.

Oumar Solet of Udinese is also currently tipped to make the switch to Old Trafford.

  • United 'in talks over Udinese defender'

Udinese defender Oumar Solet could be heading to Old Trafford.

Italian outlet Messaggero Veneto reckon the French 25-year-old is likely to leave the Serie A club this summer.

They also suggest United have been in talks over recruiting the ex-RB Salzburg and Lyon star.

Bournemouth have also been linked with the former Under-20 international.

  • Red Devils eye twin swoop on Seagulls

Manchester United are being linked with TWO Brighton stars.

Ecuadorian left-back Pervis Estupinan, 27, is rated a strong target to resole a problem position.

Gambian winger Yankuba Minteh is another option.

Old Trafford boss Ruben Amorim is keen to bring in players to suit his tactics.

But one stumbling block is United's failure to qualify for Europe.

  • Prem clubs queue for Olympiacos starlet

EXCLUSIVE: Brighton have moved ahead of Manchester United and Arsenal as well as a raft of other suitors for Olympiacos wonderkid Babis Kostoulas, writes KOSTAS LIANOS.

But Wednesday will be “crucial” for his future.

Olympiacos won’t sell on the cheap and will insist on a major resale clause for the versatile striker, who has a contract until 2030.

Negotiations have reached a fee of €40million (£34m), which Fabian Hurzeler’s side are currently not willing to meet despite their willingness to pay good money for the 18-year-old.

SunSport, though, understand the Greece Under-21 international’s fee could climb even higher to €50-55m (£42-46m).

  • Sporting 'reject £59m Gyokeres bid'

Arsenal have made the first major move for Viktor Gyokeres, it's claimed.

But Sporting Lisbon have reportedly turned down a £59million bid from the Gunners.

Manchester United have also been linked with the Swedish 26-year-old.

And it's also reckoned that Italian champions Napoli are prepared top join the pursuit.

  • City 'omit McAtee amid shock interest from rivals Utd'

And that could see McAtee become available for a transfer away from the Etihad. Now, speculation regarding his City future has heated up after McAtee was left out of the squad for the Club World Cup.

The tournament runs simultaneously alongside the U21s Euros in Slovakia. Having initially not been included, McAtee has now been added to England’s pre-tournament training squad.

  • Sheikh still dreams of owning Red Devils

Sheikh Jassim has not given up on one day owning Man Utd, according to reports.

The Qatari went head-to-head with Sir Jim Ratcliffe for the Red Devils in 2023.

While Ratcliffe, 72, went on to buy a 25 per cent stake in the club, Jassim had been attempting to purchase it in its entirety - pledging to wipe their staggering debt in the process.

Taking into account money borrowed and transfers still being paid for, the Red Devils are said to owe around £1bn.

Ratcliffe has endured a bruising first 18 months as United co-owner.

The Red Devils have just secured their worst finish of the Premier League era, while former boss Erik ten Hag was sacked last October.

The Dutchman's successor Ruben Amorim has so far been unable to stop the rot, while the Red Devils' difficulties have extended to off the pitch.

Ratcliffe has bemoaned the club's financial woes, with drastic cuts including 450 redundancies.

According to the Telegraph, Jassim and his associates have not given up on one day purchasing the Red Devils.

  • Devil date

Pinch, punch, WORST of the month!

Wolves fans can't believe it after turning the page in the club calendar to find Matheus Cunha is the face of June - on the day he joined Manchester United.

The Red Devils confirmed the Brazilian attacker is incoming on a five-year deal, with Wolves receiving a club record fee of £62.5million.

But never in a month of Sundays did Molineux supporters think losing their main man would come with such a Devilish twist.

Cunha's smile beams out in a photo that dominates the club's page for June.

Just to underline the point, the 26-year-old's name and No 10 shirt number are printed clearly too.

  • Fight for Mbeumo hots up

Arsenal and Manchester United are still regarded as in the hunt for Brentford frontman Bryan Mbeumo - but face fierce competition.

Newcastle are also understood to be monitoring the 25-year-old's situation.

The Cameroonian finished the season with 20 goals and seven assists in 38 Premier League games.

That's a step-up from his 2023-24 stats, where he netted nine times and supplied seven assists.

Arsenal want more options all across the frontline.

Boss Mikel Arteta reportedly wants a new main striker.

But he wants alternatives to widemen Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli - which is where Mbeumo's versatility comes in.

Nonetheless, it's understood Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams remains the Gunners' top wing option.

  • Prem clubs told Sesko asking price

Arsenal and Manchester United have been told RB Leipzig will require at least £75million for top strike target Benjamin Sesko.

The Slovenian, 22, is regarded as a dream recruit for Prem giants this summer.

And his German club appear finally resigned to losing their main asset.

Leipzig are reportedly hoping it's all sorted soon - so they know where they stand with their budget and transfer kitty for next season.
