The savvy mum explained that she used bargain buys from Amazon, Argos and B&Q to transform the space, whilst keeping costs low.

Not only this, but Vicky also bought items from Facebook Marketplace and eBay too, and is thrilled with her loo’s new look.

Showing off a before and after look of her toilet’s overhaul, Vicky took to social media, posting on DIY On A Budget Official, a private Facebook group with 2.2 million members.

Here, Vicky shared snaps of her bathroom and wrote: “So I’ve finished revamping our downstairs loo, all done on a tight budget.”

Prior to Vicky’s DIY job, the bathroom was very plain and was tired.

The white walls were in need of some TLC and Vicky wanted to bring the space to life - which she did with paint, new floor tiles, shelves and accessories.

Showing off her new bathroom, which has now been painted navy, with funky flooring, Vicky confirmed: “I bought the under sink storage cupboard from Argos, took the door to B&Q and had the paint for the walls, ceiling, skirting and radiator, Valspar colour matched.

“Floor tiles are Wallpops from Amazon.

“[I] replaced taps and waste from Screwfix [and got my] mirror from Facebook Marketplace.

“Hubby made the shelves and we fixed them with invisible fixings.

I did up my whole house for less than £100 using Aldi bargains and nothing cost more than £17
