But if that sounds familiar, luckily for you, cleaning fans have raved about a cheap spray, which you can nab from Tesco, that removes stains in no time.

And don’t worry, you won’t need to go out and splash the cash on pricey products, as this cheap buy is just £1.20.

One woman took to social media to ask for advice after she spotted a stain on a Nike sweatshirt.

Posting on Family Lowdown Tips & Ideas, a private Facebook group with a whopping 1.2 million members, Chloe Grace shared a picture of the stain and asked social media users: “Does anyone know how I can get this stain out of my jumper?”

She later explained that it was the juice from some sweets that had stained the jumper, as she then confirmed: “It won’t come out in the washer.”

Luckily for Chloe, her post quickly racked up hundreds of comments from cleaning fans, sharing their top tips and advice on how to remove stubborn stains from clothes.

Whilst many suggested a variety of different sprays and products, the most popular recommendation was the Elbow Grease De-Greaser spray. 

While many think that this bargain buy is solely for kitchens and bathrooms, it turns out that it's great for removing stubborn stains and grease spots from fabrics too.

One person said: “Try Elbow Grease spray.”

A second recommended: “Elbow Grease spray. With three kids it's become my new best friend.”

To this, another replied and added: “Same! I use it for every stain and it always works.” 

A fourth then chimed in and commented: “Me too. I couldn't be without it now.

At the same time, many others suggested Fairy Liquid - which is just £1 from Tesco.
