I swear by a 64p mask that transforms dry and damaged hair – you’ll have the ingredients in your cupboard already
A WOMAN has revealed that she swears by her four-ingredient DIY mask for dry hair.
So if your locks are damaged but you’re on a budget and can’t afford to splash the cash on pricey haircare products - then don’t worry, you’re in luck.
Beauty fan Audrey Dunn took to social media to share her hair secret - and luckily for you, you’ll probably have the ingredients in your cupboard already.
Audrey, who focuses on 'holistic health made simple', shared her cheap hair mask, which will cost you just 64p, as she said: “DIY hair mask to repair dry, damaged hair to soft and shiny.”
Audrey then demonstrated how to make the mixture, as she added her ingredients to a bowl.
For this solution, you’ll need one egg, two spoonfuls of coconut oil, three spoonfuls of olive oil and a drizzle of honey.

She then advised: “Mix it real good.”
Once mixed, Audrey applied the hair mask to her locks, as she added: “Apply on dry hair from roots to ends.
“Put it up and leave in for as long as you’d like.”
Once Audrey was ready to wash her hair, she explained: “Shampoo twice, condition once.”
To leave your hair looking its best, Audrey advised: “Air dry or style.”
Showing off her refreshed locks, she claimed: “MUCH better.”
Audrey later explained that olive oil contains fatty acids that provide deep moisture, prevent split ends and stimulate growth.
Not only this, but she claimed that coconut oil provides extra hydration, whilst the honey contains a protein that promotes hair growth and heals breakage.
Thrilled with her cheap hair mask, Audrey beamed: “It’s so good.”
If you fancy trying this at home, you can make it for as little as 64p per mask.
You can nab six eggs for £1.30 from Tesco, working out at 21p per egg.
You’ll also need coconut oil, which you can pick up for £2 from Asda. For this recipe, you’ll only need two spoonfuls, which will cost you 25p.
As well as this, this recipe requires three spoonfuls of olive oil, which when bought for £2 from Sainsbury’s, will cost you just 18p per mask.
Finally, to get your hair super shiny and soft, this recipe needs a drizzle of honey, which when purchased for 75p from Morrisons, will cost you less than 1p per serving.
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @naturalblondi_, has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed a whopping 166,700 views.
Social media users were stunned by the hair mask and were eager to try it, which many took to the comments to express.
One person said: “Gonna try it right now.”
Another added: “Trying today.”
A third commented: “Woah.”
Meanwhile, one beauty fan asked: “How long should the mask be on the hair?”
To this, Audrey claimed: “I would say at least 30 minutes! I keep mine in for a while though.”
At the same time, someone else asked: “Do you do it everyday?”
Audrey then confirmed: “I don’t! More of an as needed thing.”
Whilst another user wondered: “Does it leave a smell in your hair?”
