I’m an interior designer & would never, ever make a dirty kitchen decor choice – it’s an eye-sore and just looks bad

AN interior expert has used her design skills to list three things she would never incorporate into her work.

She specifically advised a decor choice in your kitchen that would just be a terrible addition to any home.

Persian interior designer Nina Takesh (@ninatakeshofficial) does not hold back when it comes to her opinions.

She spoke for many in her industry when she listed in a TikTok video what she thinks people in her profession should "never, ever do in their homes."

"If you're doing any of these 3 things, absolutely no judgment. My hats off to you," she said.

The first on the list were pots and pans on display.

"No matter how you display pots and pans, they're never gonna look good, and by the way, they're gonna be dirty, and it just is not a good look," she explained.

Even if you bought all new posts and pans. she reiterated that it wasn't a good look because "it's busy and crowded and an eyesore."

Next up was the style of hanging your plants.

She received several messages from her viewers about plants and revealed that many of them said they would rather have them come down "and live in a cool planter" than hanging from the ceiling.

For the last "design don't," Nina laid down the law when it came to having distressed furniture in your living space.

"If you have anything that is this distracting, that is in your home, it must be removed at once. In fact, it should go back to the flea market where it came from," she said.

Nina explained that the reason is that the room is dictated by this piece.

"This becomes the focal point because it is so eye-catching, and you don't want the focal point of your room to be a very distressed piece," she added.

Not everyone was a fan of her perspective and made that known in the comments.

"She’s the reason I would never hire an interior designer even though I can afford it. Just do what makes you happy," a viewer commented.

"I feel people should decorate their homes according to what THEY like," another wrote.

"As an interior designer, I think that all three of these options can be done tastefully and depending on the situation," a woman said.
