Wheeler Dealers host Mike Brewer reveals five things you shouldn’t say if you want a good deal on a used motor
WHEELERS Dealers host Mike Brewer has revealed the five things you shouldn't say if you want a good deal on a used motor.
The motor expert is a veteran dealer with decades behind him in the car game.
Now Mike has very candidly revealed the five most annoying things punters say when trying to buy a car.
The first on the list is "my brother's a mechanic." Mike said that punters often came out with this one, implying that their brother would "put him right" if he tried to sell them a sub-standard car.
And he revealed that many customers would blurt out " Any chance of a trade price come on I am in the trade."
Mike said that people would claimed to be in the trade were often unable to produce any valid forms of accreditation.
And there was "Are you flipping these cars for a profit?" Mike said that some people assumed car dealers were like a charity and not allowed to make money.
He said the answer to the question was often "Of course I am."
And Mike said that some customers enquired if he accepted PayPal as a form of payment for a car.
And finally the expert said that some customers would say: "I flipped through Parkers Car guide and it told me its worth this amount of money."
Mike said that the customer should "sell their car to Parkers" because he did not want it.
However some members of the public thought Mike was a bit too critical of customers.
One said: "Now if only we had a video for the five most annoying things dealers say to customers."
And another sarcastically said: "Rogue customers the biggest problem in the second hand car industry!"
Mike was recently in the news after his Facebook account was hacked. He later became enervated with so called social media experts inundating him with messages offering their services.
He said that he would only to speak to accredited members of staff at Meta and Facebook.
