An average of 106 for Michael van Gerwen who stole the darts pretty early on in that Littler throw before running clear to break.
Really good stuff from him. He only needs four more successive sets!

Probably his easiest hold of the match for Van Gerwen.
He leaves himself just 16 to take out with Littler over 200.
Littler does leave a finish but it's 160 and Van Gerwen cleans up the D8 with relative ease.

Pressure on the Littler throw and he's forced into a stunning T11 throw to leave 40.
He is allowed a chance to come back for it and takes it out with his first attempt.
Neither player wants to slip up here. As obvious a statement as that is.

Littler on 164 does hit the T20 and T18 but again just misses the bullseye to the right!
Van Gerwen made a mess of his set-up to leave 89 but a strong two-dart combo sees him take it out for a hold. Just....

Van Gerwen leads on the Littler throw for much of the leg and when leaving 92, gives himself a really realistic chance of claiming the leg.
Littler misses a treble with his first dart at T8, so has to move to 16 and finds double 20 with his third and final dart.
Another whitewashed set. He's one set away!

Almost a nod of approval from Van Gerwen as Littler bangs in an 11-dart leg to break the throw.
Van Gerwen could only hit 44 when back on 128 and Littler was left on 50. Going for bull would've been cheeky, so he goes 10, D20 and goes two up in this set!

Littler on 130 - he's already taken this out - but misses the bullseye to take it out this time.

Van Gerwen opens the leg with a 180 and it looked for the first few visits that he was cantering to victory in the set.
Littler's 180 late in the day put a bit of pressure on but with MVG leaving 40 after excellent set-up play, it was too little too late.
Van Gerwen needs just one at tops and he's closed the deficit.

Littler scoots miles clear this time and leaves 46 when MVG can't finish his 139.
A single 6 and double 20 follow for Littler to take us all the way.

After nine darts, he's back at the board, MVG and after a first missed dart at double, he follows up with a leg-winning throw.
