A 65-year-old man has admitted dressing as a navy admiral without permission during a Remembrance Sunday event.
Jonathan Carley, from Harlech, Gwynedd, was arrested after photos of him wearing uniform of one of the most senior ranks were shared online.
He was charged with wearing uniform or dress bearing the mark of His Majesty's Forces without permission.
District Judge Gwyn Jones fined Carley £500 and ordered him to pay £85 towards prosecution costs and a £200 surcharge.
"It's a sad reflection upon you that you chose to do such a thing on a very difficult day for so many," he said.
